Cam's second half improvement

It's very simple. All I did was do a query in ProFootball Reference to get the passer rating of quarterbacks with at least 100 attempted passes from weeks 1-8 and weeks 9-16.
Once I obtained this data, I eliminated the people who did not appear in both tables. This is the reason why people like Michael Vick, Nick Foles, Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick and some others do not appear: Because they did not have enough passes during one of the halves in the season to be able to compare their improvement to the other
The number that you see is the difference of the passer ratings, over the passer rating of the first half. So, for example, Russel Wilson's passer rating in the second half of the season was 46% higher than his passer rating during the first half.

Interesting stuff.

in a nutshell, the closer they are to the center of the graph the more consistent a passer they were throughout the season.

That could be consistently good...consistently bad....or consitently mediocre.

The graph only shows improvement...not relative play.

Yeah you're delusional if you think Bradford is consistently on the same level as Aaron Rodgers.

Still interesting though.

we gotta get out of the gate quick. a lot of teams and players play lights out after the pressure is off and they are out of the playoff hunt. that's why you see spoilers every year, teams with nothing to play for, out performing teams playing for their playoff lives. the pressure is off. we must have a fast start this year. we cant get behind the 8 ball again. the good teams start fast. oh yeah, im new, and for whatever reason,i cant start a post, but did you guys see the article on pro football talk.com? its entitled, " PANTHERS TAKING WORDS OUT OF CAM NEWTONS MOUTH". click on teams, then panthers. you gotta read the responses at the end of the article. ive never seen venom spewed like this. im new to the computer world, and you guys may have seen this kind of stuff before, but cam is so hated by alot of the fans around the league. i would love to hear your thoughts. is it jealousy? the guy is such a great showman and so entertaining. it reminds me of the hate muhammad ali got in his younger days. im glad to be aboard. GO PANTHERS!

I'm assuming you meant 'Computer message boards and interest in comments sections'. Lol.

But you said it all above. He's like Ali in the sense where: He was involved/allegedly involved in something certain fans hold against him (Cam; Alleged Bribe by his father and other minor indiscretions at Univ. of Florida, and Ali with the Nation of Islam/Black Power, Civil Rights Movement, and being a Conscientious Dissenter to the Vietnam War), along with their great success, talent, color [by some people], southern roots, good looks, and showmanship.

Many of these people, seem to take it personal, compared to any other NFL player at the moment.

Wilson's looks so drastic because of how poorly he started out as well. His worst game was also Cam's worst game. But he turned it on nicely and carried that through the rest of the year not long after, while Cam had to wait a few more weeks for Chud to get his head out of his ass.

That's not what he's saying at all. For the first have the season lets saying Rodgers has a 96.4 passer rating. Then the second half of the second he have a 96.8 passer rating. He's stayed the same. While Bradford can have 79.2 passer rating the first half and a 79.4 passer rating the last half they both with show as staying the same. He's not staying Bradford is on par with Rodgers just that the graph isn't showing the context of they've been throwing. So blanket statements like the ones in the middle are more consistent isn't completely true
