And he returned to it right after what Kurb said. He even brought JD up in a thread about Dwill. He is obsessed with the topic. Oh well.

I don't even understand how anyone can call DR and GB studs at this point. Based on what?

And in a thread about Goodson, and in countless others that have nothing to do with him...

...based on their potential. What else do you want?

TE is used mainly for blocking but they are being used more over the past couple years.

i have faith that our new QB coach, who is doing a better job of coaching and teaching our QBs than mccoy. i'm of the belief that it isn't too late for jake to learn some new things and that with his determination to improve and work ethic along with the proper guidance that we can and will have a better QB this year than last in jake. that includes mechanics and field vision and finding/using the open receiver.

You bring him up just about no matter what the topic is the point, but whatever makes you happy, I'm all for it.

Stud is a pretty big compliment to bestow on two guys who weren't even top performers in college hence haven't showed the ability to dominate even at that level. I like their potential also because they seem to have some athleticism but I would never even think to call them studs. At this point for what they have all done to date, I like King the best all around.

I find it hilarious that a topic about how three talented tight ends (edit) on our roster and their utilization in our offense can have nothing to do with the starting veteran QB under center.

very telling

You self-important fugtard. Can you please suspend your goddamn anti-jakedelhomme campagin for one thread so people can have a fuging conversation about the goddamn tight ends.

yes Jake sucks we get it fug

I hope you are right. They certainly seem to be doing everything they can to help him out and get him going. We all hope it works. After all, everyone likes Jake Delhomme, most of us just want him to be a better football player.

be careful what you say about Jake. there are some sensitive people around here that thing he can be brought up only in threads with his name in the title and not in:

a thread about tight ends and their role in the offense

a thread about rookie running backs with great speed and hands

a thread about great running backs with great numbers that do not make the probowl

it's silly, I know

And while a Solid->Good TE he isn't the most athletic guy in the bunch by a long shot.

Rosario worries me, I honestly don't know if he will get a game jersey every week this season. His mental mistakes last season pretty much cost him a chance at being a starter last season.

Barnbridge could be our breakout guy this year. I have hopes for him.

Stay on topic numbskulls.

I actually question how great our talent at TE is.

King is Solid to Good

Rosario is Awful to Awesome

Barnbridge is completely unknown quantity.

How do you know? I wish sombody could post how many times did Jake attemp too pass too the TE's? In the Charger game he look for Dante and Dante had a great game. My only problem with Jake is when he is in trouble he goes for the hard throw too 89# instead of the safe dump down too a TE or RB.

Would you please stop posting about tight ends while we are trashing our QB, it's kinda distracting...

as receivers i think that rosario and barnidge could be great weapons. blocking is the main problem...well, just getting on the field in non-ST time for barnidge has been a problem.

the potential is there with both of those guys and i expect that after this year we will have just those two because we'll probably let king walk when he's a FA in 2010, especially if one of the other two guys have picked up in the blocking game.

...or when he's in trouble he looks for the surest hands.

glass half full. glass half empty.

nobody's ever bashed brady for blindly throwing hail marys to moss every chance he got.

not saying jake is brady or that i'm a big supporter of his...

King is the best and also never reached his potential at Vtech because young Vick lost his damn mind up there in Blacksburg. Quarterbacks do have bearing on how a Tight End's career goes.

They (DR and GB) are athletic and have pretty good hands. They both can block and stretch the field. In the NFL that is a stud. Just because they are not utilized in a way that Gonzalez or Cooley are does not make them any less of a potential threat. It most likely just makes them angry. The truth is that we do not know how their careers will unfold at this point and maybe you do not like my choice of wording to show my approval, but there is a big change in these three and the three TE's we had prior to the arrival of jeff King.

I don't give a poo if you would not call them studs or not. I did and will. Try picking a battle that actually matters next time.

they are not studs...they're athletic but I wouldn't call them studs

SO WHAT!

...hilarious
