Kanye's New Album Yeezus Leaked

the best thing about chance the rapper is that he almost made twista sound listenable again by comparison

Chance is an acquired sound. I'm not sure whether I liked him or not for the longest time, but after giving Acid Rap a full run through, I was onboard the Chance train.

I love his sound, but if you're just into lyrics or an artist with a generic sound, then obviously you should be looking elsewhere.

i listened to the album on spotify and it is worthless garbage. i like hip hop and rap and new age thing thats going on with all the sound effects and what not, but what in the fug was west thinking.

i couldnt listen to one song until the end. the blood on the leaves is semi bearable, but trash anyway.

i wouldnt be abel to bump this at a party,

or just listen on my free time

or play it loud in my car while stuck in ballsweating traffic on 485 between 77 and south blvd

or exercise to this crap

very disappointed.

but then again, some of you weirdos will find this good. God Speed.

my money's on the avett brothers or bumpkin and sons or whatever the hell it is that boring middle aged white ppl are listening to now

e: or he's still mad over the taylor swift thing (even though kanye was right; beyonce got robbed)

Oh look this guy is saying Beyonces "Single Ladies" video was better than Taylor Swifts "You Belong With Me" video....

You know...the Single Ladies video full of nothing but Beyonces shaking her ass and tits the entire time. Wait...Doesn't this same guy get offended when you post ass and titties on the Huddle?

We all know why you believe Beyonces video was better...I mean come on. This is Cantrell we are talking about here lol

I have not listened to Ye's work since MBDTF.  Just too many allusions to gnosticism and whatever other crap he's gotten into as well as uninvited imagery, symbolism, etc.  If that's what he's into, great, but you don't have to drown your audience in it.

As far as the music itself, I'd say Kanye changed right around 808s.  I remember telling friends to go get his stuff with each of the albums prior because he didn't just rap about materialism, but he actually had substance to his music and lyrics.  Well, something changed along the way.  He actually used to put thought into his music and spoke to social and cultural issues that are often ignored.

Then he got his face stuck in Jay-Z's butthole, and ever since he's went full retard.  He seems to have changed as a person and an artist.

IMO, no doubt about it, he's the best producer of the modern era of hip-hop/rap, and possibly ever, but artistically, he took a turn for the worse several albums ago.  Although I will say, he seemed to have become frustrated with his overindulgent, materialistic, porno-living persona when I heard New Slaves, I found it an interesting juxtaposition to listen to that versus the bulk of what he's still putting out.  I had friends blowing up Facebook with the videos of the projection project he debuted them in and quoting his lyrics as though he's an anti-establishment trailblazer, when my issue with him as of late is that he has been a poster boy for uninspired industry music outside of his production.
