LOL yeah the scene where he explains to Zod to zero in on abilities was stupid, and maybe the cheesiest point in the movie, for me at least.  WHY??

 

It was like the old Fantastic Four or any comics from the early 60's where they EXPLAINED everything that was going on lol.

 

 

Yeah I felt like there was a lot of cheesy dialogue in the film, but I kind of liked it because it reminded me of the comics.

Yes but what doesn't make sense to me is that Supes had to absorb sunlight for years to have it concentrated enough to enhance his cellular makeup, but with Zod, it was instant.

Did they say it took Sups years to gain powers? I assumed he always had the powers, like when they showed him using x-ray vision in elementary school.

He had the powers, it just took him a while to focus.  However, since Zod was trained and probably genetically modified to be a soldier and hone his senses, he picked up on everything way faster, and the hints also helped lol.

 

The only thing I remember Superman having an advantage on was the breathing/environment, etc.
