Cam v RGIII twitter debate

Luck doesn't have elite arm strength, but it's more than adequate to get the job done. He can make all the throws.

I think Luck is going to be very close to what Aaron Rodgers is. He's a very good pocket passer who has the athletisism to escape the pocket when he has to and can throw well on the run.

Luck is very athletic, more so than Rodgers. Luck could do everything Newton does but that isn't part of his game. His athleticism is vastly underrated by fans.

Luck has good speed and is athletic....but he isn't in the ballpark in terms of being the same double threat in the rushing department. Luck can run....Cam is a significantly more dangerous however.

Luck also doesn't have Cam's arm.

I like Luck....but he can't do what Cam does. Cam's ceiling is higher. Luck IMO has better odds of reaching his though

Do you think Cam will end up succeeding then?

This was for the 2nd year QBs.  The "struggles" that Cam faced.  How will they compare their second season to Cam's?  I think all in all Cam had a good second year.  Once the offense started to look like aregular NFL offense and Cam got to audible I think he had great season.

If you look back to when he started running a regular offense and not the Gimmicky Read Option.  I thought he did quite will.  256 (or something like that) passes without an interception.  10-2 overall.  That's pretty good.

As I said.  I think Luck has the greatest opportunity to grow because most of the others rely on their legs and defenses will soon try and take that away.

As a QB, Cam has great legs and uses them quite well but unlike Kaepernick, RGIII and Wilson (to a point) he can still be a good QB without the running ability.

Only time will tell.  But I hope you're 100 percent right.

Why do people keep saying that crap. Luck ran a 4.67 and Cam ran 4.58. Big difference. Once your speed start reaching the 4.6ish you're approaching the big boys speed like TE, DE, or even Offensive lineman, the redzone of slow. In Running, a full tenth of a second difference is huge. That .09 difference are two different league kind of athlete. And no, Luck can't do what Cam can. If he could they'd ask him to do it. No owner or coaching staff is gonna watch talent go to waste and not use it.

Plus, it's not just running on straight line in a control environment where getting a good start is almost as important as running the races. By the way, did you watch Cam's one single year at Auburn.

So, now Luck have hidden athletic potential being bottled by the coaching staff adding to the mystic of Luck? What a joke!

Luck ran a 4.59 and is every bit of the athlete that Newton is. You're naive or you've never seen Luck play.

By the way here is a quote from Belichick on Luck and I would take it that he is a pretty good evaluator of talent.

"I don't think there's a lot of difference between him, physically, and a guy like Cam Newton, just as far as being able to run, and be strong and fast and have a good arm."

I could see the ability to run being a bit comparable but with arm strength/talent cam is way better and there's no comparison (and I like luck and he does have a good arm but not near cam/stafford level good).

That's all I'm saying, Luck would be an efficient runner if that was part of his game.
