lol no need for name calling. I just don't think that he will bring anything to the team. When a guy has had 5 receptions in 3 years you kind of start to lose hope. Hopefully he can bring something to the passing game, I just doubt it.

it takes players who played receiver in college, 3 years to come into their own. We're talking about a guy that had to change positions....yet you won't even give him that, cause ya can't wrap your mind around the concept tgat it takes players time to adjust to the nfl.

I really hate hearing this. I was hoping we'd be hearing good things about Gettis. As good as Armanti may look in shorts he is a pu$$y when the pads get put on.

I don't get this.

Armanti hasn't been on the field long enough in the nfl, to even make that judgement.

He never was a pussy on the field in college.

He is an ulimate competitor. He's proving it every day, and all you can do is piss on him.

I know who the weak one is here, it's not Armanti.

I couldn't tell you where App State is and can honestly say I never saw AE play in college. But what I do know is Armanti's teammates seem to genuinely admire his effort and perseverance, and he is consistently described as a hard worker. It appears he has shown improvement each year, with this mini-camp being his best showing to date.

These things tell me that Armanti is the type of guy we should all support. I just don't understand why anyone would want anything but the best for him.

What I would like to see and what I expect to see are often two very different things.

  1. In red-zone work, a great, great catch by Armanti in the endzone from Cam. Got some hollers from players and Cam shot his arms up.

  2. It looks like Shula will be getting back to the power running game with the group of backs the Panthers have.

These have been said before, but not to this extent

I'm loving  what where hearing about the Run Game!!! :D

Funny when some guy posting on a website calls a professional athlete (especially a football player) a pussy.

I don't need to prove my toughness to anyone, not like I was challenging him. That being said, Armanti is weak, slow, and soft in comparison to most NFL WRs.

Armanti isn't going to play quarterback for us plain and simple.  He might take a snap or two on a trick play but he would only be an emergency quarterback if everyone else was out.  Edwards is a receiver in this league not a quarterback.  I suspect that his biggest progress has come when he has resigned himself to that idea and concentrated on being the best receiver he can be.  I can totally believe that he is playing well.  Armanti is a competitor and this is his contract year.  He knows that Hurney is gone and Gettleman didn't draft him and feels no ties to him.  After all bringing in more competition with Ginn and Hixon was a clear message to the receiver corps that he was looking to upgrade the position at the number 3 and 4 receiver spots. Guys like Edwards, Gettis, Adams, Pilares etc. are all going to be fighting for not just those spots but any spot. I can totally see Edwards finally showing his athleticism and competitive fire. I suspect that across the board this training camp will be one of the most competitive in some time. I expect some brawling once the pads go on. The WRs and the DBs both have something to prove.  They are going to be physical on both sides of the ball.  Emotions are going to be high. Especially in that Spartanburg heat.  Can't wait to see it.  Plan to be there as often as I can be. I would be thrilled to see our receiver corp finally take off giving Smith the help he needs.  And if Armanti can be a part of that, that would be outstanding.  It is always the other teams who have the receivers who come out of nowhere to star in the  league.  Why not Edwards?  The past doesn't have to predict the future if you learn from the past and commit yourself to a new outcome. I am hoping that this group turns out to be the best we have had in some time.
