Who has been on the Armanti fan club train since day one?

Who understood the difficult transition and the pressure it brought?

Who wants him to absolutely crush it this yr, like 1000 yds crushing?

<-----me

Imagine the tsunami he would make across pantherland...  Its just another great story to add to the team.

What the fug is this? I come in here looking for camp updates, and about half the posts are a bunch of crying primadona divas who care more about their soap-opera lives on this message board than football.

Can the folks from out of state just get some updates on what's important... you know.. CAMP?!

Hard to avoid this, Raskle.  Many parents use the internet to occupy their children in the summers because they take them off of their ADD meds for a few weeks.

However, here is what I have been hearing about camp:

Shorter verbiage.

Armanti has looked good--this causes debate because he has been successful in preseason before.  Some Huddlers take this personally and threaten others.

DBs, according to Godfrey, are coming together.  I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

The new, more traditional offense that was successful at the end of the season will feature a more balanced attack.

The front seven here has the potentional to be the best it has ever been.

Concern about RG.

Concern about WR.

Players with great stories:  Cole, Kugbila, Gaydosh, Melvin White,

I can add this from my perspective--I think there is a feeling of confidence and urgency here that we have not had since 2008.  I think the competition, the desperation of the coaches, and confidence in gettlemen has created it.   I also think there are a lot of people who want to complain who do not see it--they will jump on board and deny their skepticism when the Panthers are 4-1 or so, but I enjoy watching the momentum develop.  If we can stay injury free, it could be a special season.  For those who want to mock this mindset, go back and read your comments after the 2002 season.

I hope it happens rather have a WR that can contribute vs QB sitting on the bench

I don't know why anyone thinks we will have only two qbs in the 53. There is no scenario where we only carry two qbs, jimmy or not we will still keep 3 qbs on the roster.

why do we need 3 qbs?  If Cam goes down ( Pray to god that never happens!) the season is lost or expectation are going to be lower  and if you loose your  2nd string QB then there is no hope with the 3rd string...... I say use that roster spot for other position that contribute in the rotation.

We've had 2 QBs on the roster in years' past and if I remember correctly, it was mainly to alleviate the fact we had 2 kickers and a punter taking up space.

You are correct.

I could "possibly" see only 2 QB's this season if Armanti makes the squad.  he would be about as successful as most other 3rd string QB's that we could have.

But, it is likely that we do keep a 3rd QB.

Much obliged MHS, I appreciate the breakdown summary especially! I think we have the possibility of something special as well, as long as our secondary holds up, and someone steps up to the plate for WR. I'm not as concerned as a lot of folks seem to be, but these are our two "wait and see" positions imo, on an otherwise stacked team.

Can't wait til we destroy the rest of the NFC South, since their fans think we haven't improved all that much. It's going to be a sweet bitter crow pie I'll be serving them down here in Tampa!

Exactly. And remember clausen wasn't even active for a game last year so if cam and Anderson went down in the same game he wouldn't play anyway. Better for us to carry two and sign a third immediately if cam were to go down.
