A.C not cooling to desired temp.

So for 2 days now my ac has not cooled to the 72 I have it set at. It gets up to about 78 during the hottest point of the day. I can put my hand up to the vents and feel cool air coming out but not enough obviously.

Is this a DIY project I can tackle or do I need a pro?

Thanks in advance.

Have you went outside and looked into your unit? Mine's done that before and it was because the coolant was low and it had a slow leak. The pipes outside under the fan had a layer of ice on them and were frozen solid.

If you find ice, you can turn off your air and try to get it off yourself by warming the line (with a hairdryer?) to thaw it, and then turn your air back on. It will eventually refreeze, but it might be a temporary fix until you can get a tech out.
