He likes being the guy.  Helps that is is good, and a classy guy.

I don't get too worked up. I see all that stuff on the NFL Network about top (tight ends). And I take note of all that. But I wouldn't trade myself for anybody.”

Olsen, 28, is starting to gain recognition. Last season he made USA Today's All-Joe team, comprised of unsung players who have never been chosen to a Pro Bowl.

Olsen's teammates don't overlook him.

“I love the guy,” defensive end Greg Hardy said. “He's hard to cover. He's a good blocker. I've never seen him get the hand-off, but I'm sure he would take it to the house. I've never seen him have a bad play. He's always out here giving 100 percent in practice, even though he's like 90 years old. He's super fast. He's versatile.”

Olsen had his best season last year despite dealing with a health issue involving his newborn son, TJ, who was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect in utero. Two weeks ago, TJ underwent the second of three surgeries he faces to correct a condition known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which is marked by an underdeveloped left ventricle and aorta.

“He came home the end of last week and he's doing very well,” Olsen said. “So we're very fortunate. He's been great.”

Person, sucking Olsen off won't get you on his good side. Being a better beat writer, however, will.

And I wouldn't trade Greg for anyone either. Great player, great teammate, great person. Extremely proud to have him as a Panther and I'll be extremely dissapointed if he doesn't retire here.

Joe Person is such a bitch. He asked Rivera in his interview the same fuging thing. "Do you think the Panthers should bring in another TE."

Seriously dude how many fuging times do you need to ask that question. Literally half the people on the huddle would do a better job as a beat writer than him.

Olsen was probably genuine and sincere before his son TJ was born, but every time I see an interview of him since the twins were born I can't help but think that he and his wife must be the strongest people.  Proud he is a Panther

His stats matter little when compared to how he stands up as a husband and a father.  He gets an "A" in that category.

But he is one hellofa TE.

Hopefully all turns out as it should.

Those of us that still pray will pray for your sons tonight Mr, Olsen.
