The Golden Calf of Bristol Signs with NE

Well this oughtta be fun to watch.

That's the thing. I don't wanna watch anything that has to do with him.  I'm sick of seeing him.  If he were a good football player I may care.  But he's not and he gets the most exposure of any player in the league.

As an amusing side note...

Here's Michael Silver of Yahoo Sports writing that Bill Belichick hates Tim T-bow...

And while there's plenty of media chatter that T-bow could land with the Patriots (whose offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, was the man behind the Broncos' decision to draft T-bow in the first round), my organizational sources tell me that's very unlikely to happen, with one going so far as to say that Coach Bill Belichick "hates" T-bow as a player. As for the prospect of employing T-bow as a change-of-pace quarterback — and asking Tom Brady to come off the field in those situations — the source says, "No chance. Plus they wouldn't like the circus that comes with it."

And here's Michael Silver of Yahoo Sports explaining why Bill Belichick is signing Tim T-bow, despite hating him...

Bill Belichick threw Tim T-bow a lifeline Monday, giving the disenfranchised football icon a spot on the New England Patriots' roster and, in the process, making a certain Y! Sports columnist (and a knowledgeable organizational source) appear dead wrong in public, which is always an awesome sensation.

As the journalist who a month ago quoted that source as saying Belichick "hates" T-bow as a player – a contention Belichick strongly disputed last Friday – I'm tempted to call T-bow's agent and ask for a cut of the signing bonus. After all, my column urged NFL teams to give T-bow a chance, and if Belichick's desire to spite me ended up producing that outcome, I'm happy to have played a role in extending the kid's NFL career.

For the record, I stand by my original assertion that Belichick has told many people in the Patriots' organization that he's not a T-bow fan. After Belichick's strong denial last Friday, the same source weighed in with an even more forceful rebuttal, insisting that the coach was "so full of it" and that Belichick's T-bow-bashing was commonplace at the team's facility.

Realistically, however, I think Belichick made this move because he reconsidered his views on pro football's most polarizing player – and because he concluded that he's a creative, open-minded and innovative enough coach to maximize T-bow's unique skill set.

And while Belichick may not be getting an invitation to my next pool party (and while I stopped receiving his hand-written holiday cards many Decembers ago), I'll give the man this: He may, in fact, be smart enough to pull this off.

The only reason he'd bring T-bow aboard is because he believes it will help the Patriots succeed – and that he, the greatest coach of his era, can find a way to do what most of his peers believe is impossible.

He'll do fine as a third string qb and on some gimmick plays. He'll never start. I'm just pissed I have to hear his fuging name for the next month now.

The problem is that NE rarely keeps 3 QB's.

My bet is that he does not make the final roster.

Then watch that 3rd or 4th turn out to be a bust.

Exactly.

The media always talks about how great NE is about moving around in the draft creating additional draft picks.  Yet, they never talk about how bad NE actually drafts.

I hope you are at a game where he over throws his receiver, the ball sails towards you, it hits you in the nuts, and your testicles explode.

some folks have no sense of humor

that said te-bow has a better chance at a superbowl ring this year than cam does.

I am in no way a The Golden Calf of Bristol hater and in fact I like him because his presence alone seems to piss so many people off which amuses me but what exactly is he good at? He is not that big, he is not fast, he can't catch, he can't throw......so what is it?
