Free Agents Next 2 Seasons

The Chris Bosh chatter got me looking at potential free agents this off season and next to determine the value Bosh may bring in comparison to other options on the free agent market.  I tried to dumb down the full list to guys that can be upgrades to our team and are within the realm of possibility.  I tried to keep guys under 30 off the list too, because I believe that goes against our current philosphy.  If you want me to add a free agent to the list just let me know.

This list is a little deceiving as we should anticipate the high profile guys on this list like Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, John Wall, Paul George, Greg Monroe to be locked up to long term deals prior to hitting free agency next off-season.  I was interested to see that the free agency pool this offseason seems to be much deeper than next years.

Whatever we do in free agency, I hope it comes from players on these lists in lieu of Bosh...  We could have 2-3 of these guys in most cases instead of Bosh if you are looking at salaries.  With the state of our team, I think depth should be a priority over trying to trade for Bosh and swallow 1/3rd of the whole salary cap.

Use the #4 pick, compliment with some good talent at reasonable price, and after we use all our picks in the 2014 draft (2, maybe 3 first rounders), we should have a great idea of who our core players are going to be for our future Hornets and still have cap flexibility if needed.

I don't know, someone that scores 22-24ppg and around 9-10 boards, 1 block, seems like a max player.   If not then only like 3 people in the league are.

agree; before he took third fiddle with the Heat he was arguably the best in the game at the PF position

Except he's shooting 16.5 ppg and 7 rebounds.  12 ppg in the playoffs.

Yeah plenty of people would argue that.  Starting with Timmy Duncan, who can STILL school Bosh even at his advanced age. lol

Tim Duncan is arguable the best PF of all time, and is currently going through an incredible career resurgence

Depending on the type of offseason we are having (whether we go big or stay with the course), I would love to have J.R. Smith on our roster. He might be the only shooting guard that I would take over Henderson.

If we're serious about competing now, give me Smith and Jefferson...

PG: Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions

SG: J.R. Smith, Ben Gordon

SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jeff Taylor, Jeff Adrien

PF: Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo, Byron Mullens, Tyrus Thomas

C: Alex Len, Brendan Haywood, Josh McRoberts

Then the following year trade our two futures (Portland & Detroit) to move into the top five and select one of Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, or Marcus Smart.

I know it's not very realistic, but if anyone can make it happen; it's Cho.
