It is def great he is improving because we are gonna need him since we are goin back to RUN FIRST!!!! Lol! Jus kiddn yall, dont kill me.

But on a serious note, we need him. We need consistency. Cam had just as bad an oline as Luck. Compared to the amount of times Luck dropped back, they were sacked bout the same percentage.

i think he'll come on strong this year. kalil coming back will help mask any deficiencies.

i still say we need a competent right guard that's not on this roster.

i think kugbilla will do the job just fine...i mean probably not right out of the gate, but soon enough.

we just need someone solid to buy a little time until he loses his roller skates. unfortunately the best way for him to lose those skates is to get experience.

Unfortunately Kugbilla can't get on the field because of a fuging sore leg. That just blows my mind. I hate hearing that after our Otah experience.

i think he will too, but i don't want to sacrifice our offensive prowess this year for the sake of throwing a guy into the fire when he doesn't necessarily need to be thrown into it yet. there are plenty of quality free agent options at guard out there that could start for us and do a nice job.

i fully expect gettleman to be watching cuts closely and sign a couple of dwan edwards type guys for one-year contracts. we have the cap space to do it

This is Bell's third year. He has gotten positive feedback so far this year. If he can keep improving, he can get the job done. I don't think he will ever be a Pro Bowler. But solid is within his reach.

Amini taking a step forward, Bell improving, Kalil back healthy, steady as always Gross, and then we have RG. Welp, 4 out of 5 ain't bad.

i'm not worried. totally different types of players. it's not like we gave up a first for him. it's not like he's taking a huge chunk of the salary cap. it's not like we are depending on him to start right away. AND he doesn't have the poor work ethic and even durability concerns that otah had coming into the league. also remember...it's still incredibly early in the offseason. it's not THAT big a deal that he's missed a little time. if he misses most of mini camp or even time into TC, then i'd be worried...but even at that, it's not like we are counting on him to start the season, just contribute and get the hang of things.

this is why i didn't want to draft any OL. i don't want to wait for OL to develop. we've had a rookie starting on the OL each of the past two years and it's only compounded already existing issues on the OL with learning a new system (and one that they really weren't suited for or experienced in (thanks chud)) and the usual injury bug infestation.

we need a break from rookies on the OL. we need experience there. each year we put a rookie on the OL starting it's always, at best, two steps forward and one step back.

we need more experience on the OL soon.

Look at you with that positive, we can do, attitude. Does that mean you are coming around to the bright side? Outside of that whole RG situation I mean. It looks good. Right?

I kinda have to disagree in that KugZilla would be the only rookie. IF, we take the praise of Bell so far as even remotely true, and add in Kalil, This kid would be pretty well protected. That, and he is a natural guard.

I agree that I hope he doesn't have to start. But, if he wins the job. Why does that thought scare me just a little bit? He isn't alone out there. If he struggles, let the 4th rounder, as you said, contribute and get the hang of things.

SCP. Keep fighting the good fight. I love you man. (Is this where you say, no homo?)
