Since I'd rather prove a point than finish my presentation for work tomorrow,

Piece of evidence #1: Articles found on google

Piece of evidence #2: Let's go down the 20 of the widley viewed "greatest shooters of all time" and compare it to Stephen Curry's stat line

Stephen Curry - FG: 47% 3P: 45% FT: 90%

In green, Stephen beats them in 1 category, in blue is 2 categories, in red is all 3

20. Paul Arizin - FG: 42% (No 3 Point Line) FT: 81%

19. Drazen Petrovic - FG: 50% 3P: 43% FT: 84%

18. Mark Price - FG: 47% 3P: 40% FT: 90%

17. Steve Nash - FG: 48% 3P: 43% FT: 90%

16. Jeff Hornacek - FG: 49% 3P: 40% FT: 87%

15. Peja Stojakovic - FG: 45% 3P: 40% FT: 89%

14. Glen Rice (Go Hornets) - FG: 45% 3P: 40% FT: 84%

13. Calvin Murphy - FG: 48% 3P: 13% FT: 89%

12. Mitch Richmond - FG: 45% 3P: 38% FT: 85%

11. Alex English - FG: 50% 3P: 21% FT: 83%

10. Chris Mullin - FG: 50% 3P: 38% FT: 86%

9. Dirk Nowitzki - FG: 47% 3P: 37% FT: 87%

8. Ray Allen - FG: 45% 3P: 39% FT: 89% (and this is a big one just for easy comparison for today's sake)

7. Rick Barry - FG: 45% 3P: 29% FT: 89%

6. George Gervin - FG: 50% 3P: 27% FT: 84%

5. Bill Sharman - FG: 42% (No 3 Point Line) FT: 88%

4. Jerry West - FG: 47% (No 3 Point Line) FT: 81%

3. Michael Jordan - FG: 50% 3P: 32% FT: 83%

2. Larry Bird - FG: 50% 3P: 37% FT: 88%

and 1. Reggie Miller, who is widely called the best shooter of all time - FG: 47% 3P: 39% FT: 88%

So yeah, not a stretch by any stretch of the imagination (pun intended)

Post all the stats you want but let's give him at least 3-4 more years of full NBA seasons from him to consider him an all-timer. But I do believe he'll be a great one, but still.. he was drafted in 2009, so he shouldn't be annointed yet.

He could retire today with the 3 point record and still be one of the best man.

With all due respect (I know you guys are arguing something else).

Michael Jordan should not be on that list.

Jordan was a scorer, and not a shooter. And by the time he became a good shooter, he was still scoring a lot of his baskets down low/on the block via his turn around jumper. Jordan was an excellent mid-range shooter though (only cause it's been a lost art for decades). That's about it.

I'm not saying he can't shoot. He did learn eventually to shoot from distance. However, he was never a pure shooter, like any of the others guys on the list (that's my problem). And therefore, he shouldn't be on it.

If that's the case: Then they should have Jabbar, Shaq, Chamberlain, Artis Gilmore, Olajuwon, and all these other big men that shot over 50% from the field (though, except for Hakeem, their 3 pt FG and FT shooting were not up to par). But you get my point. Shoot, they'll even place Lebron on the list, based off Jordan's inclusion. And he wouldn't deserve it either. Who thinks Lebron is a great all time shooter, up to par with those other guys? That's the point, main take away. Typical ESPN

Stats don't always tell the story anyway (which is why a list like this, and including Jordan is so bogus). When Ray Allen, or some one of his ilk, takes a three pointer; he always has a guy in his face or lunging at him, unless the defense is fooled. When a guy like Jordan takes a three pointer, you wanted him to take that shot for the overwhelming majority of the time/his career. Big difference!

PS: Good for Steph Curry.

Eeehhh...I don't know man. Michael's mid range game was almost automatic. I do know he was driving the lane a lot, but he was about as automatic as they come from mid range during those last 3 championship runs.

I think there are a number of mid range shooters and not 3 point shooters on this list. I think the Lebron point you're trying to make resonates more than including Centers in the discussion.

But hey, opinions are like assholes.

And you're obviously an idiot

Chris Paul is one of the greatest college and pro point guards of all time (backed by stats), and Steph Curry is one of the greatest college and pro shooters of all time (backed by stats)

So fug them, right?

hes been doing in a lot of posts like that, I think he try's to say things for the shock and attention he receives from it but really he's just making himself look dumb.
