Acura TSX or an Infiniti G

I'm debating which ride to get.  I'm looking at Certified PO from 2010-2012 and it's coming down to these two rides.  I test drove both, it's a matter of finding the right one.

Of course the Infiniti G35/37 has more power and the triptronic transmission which is awesome.  Great interior, solid look, rated consistently the best of it's class.

I love the handling of the TSX, the look, and the second row folds flat to open up the trunk.  It has paddle shifters rather than the triptronic which I'm not a huge fan of.  I found a rare used V6 without nav that I'm looking at or a loaded up 2011 w/everything.

What would y'all prefer if it was your choice?

My wife owns a G, which was purchased new off the showroom floor. It is, without question, the worst new car purchase I've ever been part of. Let me explain.

We've been married for a long time and we've always maintained our separate checking accounts, etc. and have well-established bill-paying protocol. One of our individual choices and financial responsibilities are our vehicles. In other words, I buy and pay for what I want and she does the same.

Now, about the car. It is seriously uncomfortable for me to drive at 6'6". The edge of the console rubs on my right calf just below the knee and it's extremely irritating. It's as though the leg compartment isn't wide enough. Can't ever seem the find the right position for the seat.

The car has plenty of power and is an absolute rocket on rails on the road. The only good thing I can say about the car is there have been zero mechanical issues.

The paint is coming off around the headlights and the hood edges. There is a pretty well documented history of Infiniti paint issues all over the web. It is not a warranty issue and the dealership will do nothing, claiming normal wear and tear. The car has less than 60k miles and it's a 2006.

The interior leather is gone, shot, discolored. This was done by the time the car was only 4-5 years old and had maybe 35k miles on it.

The exterior window rubber moldings have come off at various places around the windshield and the rear window and have been reattached at virtually every dealer service. Finally took it to a body shop and they re-glued it. They'll also repaint the hood and front end for $500.

In short:

* Mechanically sound and fun to drive

* Not for anyone over 6'2"

* Body, paint, interior, overall aesthetics are for poo

biased, but I'd take the TSX, or better yet...go find a TL!

I like the look of the TSX more, I'm good with the size and I find the ride smoother than the rest.  I just love the triptronic shift the G has (7speed) along with the folding backseats.  It's a tough one.

Thanks for the tips peeps

Btw, anyone seen the replacement for the G?  The Q50 looks pretty awesome:
