Joe Person speaks out about his struggle of being dropped on the head as a baby

Brockel does not get the credit he deserves for his blocking. some of the blocks he made on the LBs out the Hback role were incredibly effective.   Focus on him a few series when you have some time.

Are we talking 2011 or 2012?

I'm speaking about the value of the two TE sets in 2011.

Never said Brockel wasn't a good blocking back.

Brockel recorded exactly 0 yards last year at TE. Hartsock offers nothing in the receiving department. 30 yards all of last season.

Yes, we are in sore need of a 2nd TE that can contribute more. A number 2 TE in today's league should be able to do more than just block. Right now, we are screwed if Olsen gets hurt.

No, everyone has said that the core of the offense will stay the same but they're focusing on getting back to the running game. It's been reported over and over.

Where did I say we were going to be "run first"? I didn't. But if you want to run the ball keeping a blocking TE like Brokel makes sense. I hope we run a more balanced offense. Olsen isn't a very good blocker, Brokel isn't a very good receiver.

Eifert would have been a value pick. We need more pass catchers, that's where his value is.

If it has been reported over and over....who said such?

We had a historical rush attack in 2011....with Shockey and Olsen at TE.

When you say going back to the ground game....it implies, to me at least, being a run first offense.

Didn't you say that Brockel's claim to fame....(he really didn't do much)?  I am now assuming you mean as a pass catching threat.  I did not read the entire conversation, so excuse me if I took you out of context.

I agree that he is not the answer to 2-TE sets, and I wonder about Rosario some, but there is nothing to suggest he fills a void.  Another TE threat is needed if we are going to do little to upgrade the #1 (aging() and #2 (underperforming) WR spots.

The reserve TE, WR, and RG positions could be addressed in the preseason, but until then, we are suspect on offense.

I just shared a plane ride w/ Kalils dad, and he had more info about the panthers than person has ever had. Although I only got to speak with him for a few minutes, as he was having a discussion with what seemed to be business partners.

Brockel was on the team even with Shockey here. Having another TE doesn't mean getting rid of him. You say yourself that the team needs more pass catchers.
