Sports is nothing but war porn anyway.

Sports exist so that war does not.

Men must compete, its our natural instinct. Go driving and drive around someone in an aggressive manner. What happens? That person will immediately pass you.

I believe that many wars have been fought just because men HAD to compete. . over a woman, over land, over pride, . .ego. . . take your pick. Sports at least help distract from that and subside that primal instinct by channeling to other places.

You're the only one to bring up what being an athlete really means - a warrior.  If you break it down the best athlete would be the one that makes the best warrior, for any time period and with any technology(excluding very modern stuff).  Sports is nothing but war porn anyway.  The perfect combination of size, strength, speed, stamina and instincts - the clear choice is linebacker.

Actually, it was Razzy that first brought up the warrior analogy. If you were going to war, who would you take? So I can't take credit for that one.

I do think that pound for pound LBs are the baddest players on the field. But I can see how folks can make an argument for a lot of positions.

Wow, that was impressive. Not exactly sure what it all means? But it impressed the heck out of me.

Gaydosh Army

What the hellz does this have to do with the thread? Don't you have a toilet to abuse? JK

Gaydog may not even make the team. What happens to that army if that happens. Do they all become mercenaries?

Discriminating minds need to know.

Well, I assume the army would disband and we would walk the lonely road of futility with our heads hung low.

That is just sad. Would really really hate to see that happen.

Hey, if we keep 5DTs he may have a shot. There is the practice squad as well. Injures happen. There just may be a way for him to stick around. For your sake, and your toilets, I hope he finds a way stay a Panther.

As long as Fua is gone because Gaydog sticks, you win win. Or if the reverse...

LoL we can take bets on if he gets to 150 posts.

Youve got to be very careful to bring up race here, HW. About the only thing I can side with anyone on that subject is that different races have different physiologies. Mental capabilities, in my experience, are completely random. I think thats what youre saying so I wont go into that any further.

Also, just because less body types fit a skill doesnt make the position more difficult, it makes it a better fit for that body type. Is the action or job more difficult for that specific body type? No, it just cant be done by as many types of people. Its something to consider but not something to use as a base because there is always a finite number of them in the league. If thats the case, there is always an elite group whether it is purely of one ethnic group or not.

The question Im asking is. . .which actions (from play to play) are the most difficult to preform from a total position assignment perspective?

If the safety has to be able to cover man to man like a corner then the safety already has 90% of the corner's job in his job description also. Factor that he also has to be able to tackle and blitz like a LB. . .and that puts him over the top of both.

I tried to use physiology as a factor in analyzing the question but race and physiological variety is not mutually exclusive. Well, since race and physiology can't be use as a determining factor then I change my answer. It's the  kicker, payton & brady ties for a close second. Yes! The kicker, because he is cerebral. The rest fit in the category of 'we're all the same'.

Maybe you view them as the baddest player on the field because they're going after one of the baddest athletes in the world. The RBs. LBs are just work out warriors. Different than natural born athletic ability. Even Rays Lewis said he was not the best athlete but he works hard. Anyone can grow muscle out of their ears. The perks in being athletically gifted is you don't have to work as hard. Everyone is just one step slower. That's the origin of Revis island.

That's not true.

Billions of people around the world live peacefully and never seen a ball in their life time. Sports, though, has been use to attempt to prove superiority and we all know how that ended up.

Balls dont make sports. Some people run, some endure pain, some people spit watermelon seeds. Every known civilization I know of has something they compete at. Whether its the rites of passage stuff they do in Africa or eating some crazy ass venom sack in Vietnam, to rolling cheese down a hill and chasing after it.

What makes you think billions of people are living peacefully? That was an interesting comment. . . . it makes me think that Im wasting my time talking to you. I dont mean to be offensive with that, just that uhmmm. . .you and I see things differently.

edit: and I didnt say sports eliminate war. I said they help channel some of man's hostilities to a safer and more constructive place.
