Need suggestions

Friend of mine from Michigan flew to Orlando to pick up a car with his dad and they're driving back north. They're coming thru the Charlotte area around dinner time tonight and I'm going to meet up with them.

I'm looking for suggestions of places that are southern in nature, in the Concord to Lexington area that aren't too far from 85.

BBQ was my first choice but that's what they had from lunch in GA; now I'm unsure of where/what to eat.
