I was all into the trailer, and then they showed those fuging hideous, wannabe turtles.

 

I'm telling you, these reboots are just killing all originality and sincerity ever.  Why not just keep the model of the turtles from the original movies, and modernize it a bit?  Instead, here we go with more of this wack ass CGI created poo.  I'm so tired of them ruining anything that was once good.

 

And I agree Irv, they look like the fuging goombas from that horrible Mario Bros. movie.

Yeah i agree with the vast majority that will watch it but will be dissapointed with the movie.  The turtles should be mutated by accident, trained by splinter (a mutated pet rat or yoshi himself) as a way for him to avenge his fallen wife/master (depending on which splinter we go yoshi or pet rat version). I don't think megan fox was a good casting choice as april. you expect me to belive she is scientifi minded? are you kidding me.

 

Shredder and maybe even splinter not being associated with japan is also a huge deal. Its the main selling point of the characters. Shredder is way more interesting as leader as a chrime lord, using ninjas to do his bidding. Not some sharply dressed white guy in a suit, who wants to save new york and who will most likely gain a super suit like ironman that turns him into "the shredder" when he realises the saviors of the city dont wish to be treated as slaves but as regular humans.

 

lost story shot this movie will most likely having april and other human characters taking the most screen time and the turtles just being an afterthought. I'm sure we probobly wont get much, if any, character development for each turtle other than; the devoted leader, the brains, funny/goofy (or god forbid the stupid one), and the badass one. There is more to each turtle than one common stereotype. they really are deap characters and need to be treated as such.

I will probably watch, but man Michael Bay really did have to put his stamp on it didn't he? Its like he turned the TMNT into Transformers. Such a shame.

I noticed that too, seems way more "Americanized" like the studio saw a marvel film and decided that's what the ninja turtles have to be

Ill still see it because I need my TMNT fix but I agree the live action costumes are much better and look more realistic than Bay's trailer.

 

 

The first movie will probably always be the best one.

I am going to give it a chance. Looks promising. The tweaked the story a bit but I am not too upset about it as long as the story is complete. I will have to wait and see. I still own the orginal Turtle Movies on VHS. All three of them lol
