NBA Finals Thread - (2) San Antonio Spurs vs. (1) Miami Heat

I don't see how anyone xam be hating on Lebron after that performance. A triple double in a crucial game 6 while dominating the 4th quarter and hitting several huge shots including the game winner.

It would take either a blind Laker homer (not really meant as an insult as any fan would defend their own) or a blind Lebron hater to not see he is the best player on the planet and probably the best player since Jordan.

He is not, however, in Jordan's league so you can quash that noise.

Hate??? What is there something in the water with Heat fans? I hate nobody. Do I need to spell it out?

How do you guys have such a painfully obvious inferiority complex?

If I can't even have a discussion about the team without being labeled a hater, there is nothing to talk about.

Please. Carry on with your pro Heat discussion where no outside opinions will sour the feel good vibe.

Well if you actually havent figured it out yet...

People label you a hater because like half your posts in this thread have been criticizing or making fun of lebron.  Oh, and anytime someone mentions another heat player doing poorly you accuse them of making excuses or some bullshit.  Plus you keep making up arguments so you can criticize lebron (you brought up jordan)

That's a crock of bullshit.

You don't like people talking about your favorite player? Don't go outside and don't visit the internet.

I've been critical of both teams in the Finals in this very thread.

If you are going to force yourself into this, at least have a damn clue what you are actually talking about.

I'm just telling you why others think that.  Lebron is not my favorite player, I want the spurs to win, and I've found your posts kinda funny

First thing, I didn't call you a hater. I asked a question about did you hate James or you hate James, Wade, and Bosh coming together to play together.

Second thing, I also stated that I didn't have a problem with people criticizing Lebron or the the Heat but if your foundation for criticism is because you hate the Heat because Wade, Bosh, and James got together or you just hate Lebron James just because he left Cleveland or you are just hating on him just to be hating holds no merit. I didn't state that quite as well in my previous post so I hope you understand what I am trying to convey.

People are going to think whatever they want whether any of us like it or not, that's the way the world and internet works. Fanatics of players/teams in all sports make excuses frequently, it's certainly not some strange new trend.

Truth be told, do I like getting a bit under Heat fans skin? Yes perhaps. I respect their loyalty(lol) though.

I understand exactly what you are trying to convey. You have your opinions and I have mine.

Hate is one of the most overrated words thrown around here. Speak your mind, it's a free country.

I don't either. My comment was towards people hating on the Heat/James.

You can't just look at a picture....you have to watch the entire sequence.

Right after the shot that you showed, Bosh plowed into Green.

It was absolutely a foul....would have been called a foul any other time during the game....but, is often not called at that time.

I don't think it was a conspiracy against the Spurs.  But, I hate it when the officials don't make calls at the end of the game that they would have made during the game.  It is either a foul or it is not a foul.....no matter what point of the game it occurs.

Don't get me started about the OTHER non-call on the drive by Ginobilli.  He was mugged on that play, yet no call.

The NBA absolutely wanted a Game 7 and the end of the game was called as such.

Great game all the way around.  LeBron stepped up big late in the game.  Can't wait for a great Game 7.

Yeah it's basically a setup to get game 7.  I'm not surprised, I felt this was going to happen before the series started.  It's really hard to take the NBA seriously.  There are bad calls and weird things in any sport but with the NBA it's almost every game.

Manu totally walked before that foul so it cancels out imo. On the Green shot, I'm not going to be a hypocrite. In the past I've seen plays like these, and I've said let the game play.

People always say what's a foul at the start of the game, should be at the end of the game but you know what, it really isn't. Some fouls you just don't want to be called at the end of the game. The Green play is no different than when a guy gets hit on a layup attempt at the end of a game but the ref allows the contact that would normally be a foul.

This has been a staple in the NBA for many years and it's not going to change, whether we like it or not.

I thought the Ginobili foul was much more egregious than the one on Green at the end of the game but in fairness Ginobili took about 14 steps on the way to that foul.

The refs let the guys play as they should have in that point of the game. In my opinion I would rather see the refs not take the game into their hands and let them play with a bit more contact in that situation. Call conspiracy for a game 7 all you want but many of the calls went in the Spurs favor.

If Parker had hit the 3 that Allen did and the refs called a timeout to review the play like they did on Allen's everyone would be sh*tting thier pants how the refs were giving the Heat time to set up and discuss a play with no time left. CONSPIRACY!!!!

It went both ways and all in all it was a well called game, and a great fuggin game. The ball just bounced the Heat's way down the stretch and the Heat stepped up with huge plays when they had to.
