McNabb thinks Griffin is overexposed

Mr. Scot

Yeah, isn't that Ironic. And once again (yes Cam Haters), we will bring up the media double standard:

If this hasn't been said already: Cecil Newton is hated and portrayed as a Villain by the media. However, he would never, and has never commented on Cam to the media the way RG3's father has.

Even when he was on WFNZ last year, during the infamous first half of the season; one could argue Cecil was actually critical of Cam. And he certainly couldn't be described as defensive or an apologist (though you could argue, he had a right to be). However, if you ask the average football fan, they'll automatically hate on Cecil Newton, and say frothy things about RG3's father; though the truth is the complete opposite. It's so Pavlovian.

Cecil Newton, certainly didn't tell the Panthers what to do, and was quite supportive of both his son and the Panthers organization in eventually working things out--which they did. And of course that's not the only double standard in the media. Can you imagine if Cam had all that other stuff going on as RG3 (what was discussed in the article), following an injury??? Oh Man!

I guess what RG3's father didn't notice: His son needs to know how to read NFL defenses, and handle the pass rush first, before they allow his son to throw more. This isn't Baylor. And the ungratefulness, and hubris of that man. After all the positive publicity and awards received (and the way the Shanahan's have hidden his passing weaknesses), and he's still complaining. Ain't that a blip!

I guess on the other hand, maybe he knows? It was certainly reported, that Cousin's actually outplayed RG3 in training, camp. However, the DC locals would have ran Shanahan out of town, if he would have started cousins over the soon to be prodigal son RG3 (even though they knew they flaws were apparent in his NFL passing game)??

The irony is: It was widely reported that RG3 basically threatened, and guilted Shanahan into playing him on his bum knee (knowing the locals and the media would be on his side) during the playoffs, before he ultimately tore the ligament. This is the type of hubris that only personal arrogance, a few unexpected wins, and media worship and idolatry could engender. However, Shanahan get's all the current blame for 'injuring' RG3, due to the Terrell Davis, burn out fiasco.

This also brings up McNabb's excellent point. "Why is every one in the media, assuming RG3's is going to magically comeback, and even if/when he does he'll even play well?????? Obviously, the answer is money, eyeballs, clicks and ratings. They don't care what happens after. They'll move on to the next subject, when necessary.

Regardless of what happens. You're stuck with him Redskin fans. He's all yours!

Kirk Cousins probably did. He came in and threw for more yards in a game than RG3 had the entire season. He came in and won the game for them against Baltimore with a clutch touchdown AND two point conversion. Also a must win game against the Browns, but somehow he gets no credit.

Anyone remember him standing up and saying he gave his team the best chance to win? Not on that knee he didn't. Kirk Cousins was more than capable. It definitely came across as him not wanting Kirk Cousins to steal his "glory".

With his current style of play, I'm not sure he will.

I think it was M. Vick second year he broke his leg running.  He learned pretty quick that the NFL is not College.  That a NFL linebacker and safety aren't players a QB wants to tangle with too often.

Griffin as smart as he seems doesn't appear to get it yet.  Would be a crying shame for a player that talented to be like Mr. J. Otah.  All the talent in the world but 1/2 the time on the sideline.

People here need to realize that 1/2 the world hares Cam and 1/2 the world loves him. If Cam wasn't on my team I would probably be in the I don't care for him group. Cam's awesome, but he likes the media and brings attention to himself compared to most quarterbacks.

Most here can't stand RG3 for the same reasons why many fans don't like Cam.
