I think a strong case could be made for signing Brandon Moore

I think we have room for one more signing only if its cheap... I think DG wants to roll over some money to help the dead money of next year as well as free up as much as possible to crank out deals to cam/hardy and others.

Well vet minimum may not get us much of an upgrade if any at all.I realize Gettlemen has a free pass this year but you could argue for Rivera to put a winning team out there he has to have a minimum level of competence at each position coupled with the protection of our franchise QB.

I have to believe Gettlemen has a plan. He can't be comfortable with Hangman as a starter. It would be nice to see something done to upgrade the RG position, but there is still time to address the situation.

If we do bring in a Vet, I would think it would be closer to 1-1.5 mil for a one year deal. We can't afford much more than that. But a starter should be a consideration at that price.

Gettleman has a plan that we aren't in on yet. Just hang tight fellas, he'll put together a squad one way or another.

What he has able to do so far is far abouve my expectations.

You said it. It is amazing what can happen when you have a Football Guy running your Football Team.

I can see his thinking in regards to WR and DB. We have some kids there that we need to finish evaluating. Especially at the DB position. Who are keepers, and who needs to be upgraded. If you can produce, you play. If you can't produce, you will be upgraded. We need to let this play out.

But RG? I ain't no pro evaluator. But even I know RG needs to be upgraded. And the pickins' are getting slim. This is truly the only position I am fretful over. I am confident in Gettlemen. But as this situation lingers, my worry grows.

If you put any value into how Profootball focus grades OL then you will probably agree that we need to upgrade our OG held down by  Piggy. Our ability or inability to run the ball may very well define our offense in 2013 coupled with the fact we need depth on the OL and protection for Cam.

Brandon Moore is the best option to upgrade our OG spot that I can see.I do not think we can afford to wait on our 4th round draft pick to develop at the expense of our running game or protecting Cam.

So I guess the question is what type of value do you put on replacing one of the leagues worse guards with one that would at least be a top 20 even if you pay a premium ?

I do agree with you that we need to bring in more RG depth but i believe Kugbila can starter at RG when season open....If Amini  comes from D-II and move from LT to LG and play it decently then i believe a more athletic and powerful Kugbila can do it while still playing the same position from college and ...having Shula going back to more of traditional offense  with power run game will play to Kugbila strength....coaches and GM  believes in player with great instincts and awareness  which Kugbila seems to have........Its seems like they know something we don't know about Kugbila when they drafted him because they could have drafted D-I  school OL........

From what I've read, Moore seems to be seeking starter money in the $3-4 million range while some see him as over-hyped.

The only thing working in our favor might be the fact the market has been horse poo for older free agents so maybe Davy G-Spot can sign Moore to a 1 yr- $2 million offer. I'm honestly not sure if Moore would be the answer but the offensive line situation scares me more than our shaky secondary. We just need a stop gap better than Hangman to let Kugzilla catch up to NFL speed for 2014.

There is absolutely no way Kugbila is ready to start by season opening IMO. He is already injured and not participating in OTAs. No one has ever seen him against any kind of talent. Amini struggled between Gross and Kalil. Putting Kugbila out next to Bell would be a disaster
