The only QB that pisses me off talked a head of Cam is Colin Kaepernick

Talk about a team carrying someone!

That Oline..wow

Recieving corps..TE.. wow

Sick defense....wow

Sweet returnman (great snag by us) ....wow

And the dude is so tatted up he looks like a thug. If he wasnt able to run downfield untouched everyplay, would he even be considered a good QB?

..better than Cam right now?

(here is a list of halfway respectable QBs, red are acceptable answers, IMHO)

Bradford

Brady

Brees

Dalton

Flacco

Kapernick

Luck

Manning E.

Manning P.

Rivers

Roethlisberger

Rogers

Romo

Ryan

RG3

Vick

No one in black should be named as better than Cam right now.

Potentially Cam can be up there with the top qbs in this league, but right now some of those black names are arguably better.

- Dalton has led his team to the play offs in each of his first two seasons.

- Luck led his team to the play offs and had an excellent rookie season.

- Rivers, granted he's had a couple of off years but he performed at an elite level no too long ago, and part of his problem these past two years has been protection. He's got that now so I think his production could return.

- Roethlisberger can still be adecent qb and proven winner, but he's never really been a great qb.

- Romo attracts criticism, but the guy put up almost 5, 000 yards last season and is consistently in the top ten or better statistically. Granted he needs to prove he can win the big games, but he's a damn good qb.

- RG3 led the Redskins to a division title and the play offs, and even without his running, his passing stwas amazing.

Now sure Cam potentially is better than all of the above, but until he proves he can win and get us back to the play offs then he will be in the Tony Romo bracket - ie extremely talented, but never gets his team over the line.

That said, I would take Cam over all the qbs in black.

Green means better than Cam.

Blue means pretty close and in the same tier as Cam.

Red means notable QBs that are worse than Cam.

I have him as a 10-14 ranked QB. Next year should push him up a bunch, but this is how I rank them as of now.

Out of interest, why do you rank Wilson better than RG3 and Luck?

As a pure passer RG3 was right up there with Wilson, and Luck had a decent year too.

I think you have a better ranking system by placing the quarterbacks in tiers, however I do not see Schaub playing on the same level as the elite quarterbacks.

I stopped reading your post, when you said 'Dalton is arguably better' than Cam.

Oh Oh. I realize what you were doing, when you stated you would 'still take Cam' at the end.

OK, you were showing balance, the another perspective.

That's the problem.

RG3 wasn't a pure passer in the Redskins offense. Far from it.

The Skins were a gimmick offense, that relied heavily on the run, masking RG3's passing deficiencies (dealing with pressure, decision making, taking hits, down field passing), and highlighted his strengths (short passing, bootlegs, roll outs, play action faking). The problem is; fakes, misdirection, short passes and play action appeared to be 90% of RG3's passing attempts.

Wilson was managed during the first half of the season as well. Nonetheless, he broke out later in the season (still with support), displaying his pocket awareness. Luck, had to do more than RG3 from the get go, and that's why his stats aren't as good. Of course, supporters cites Luck's wins and playoffs entry to even up the score.

I guess what I'm saying is; you just never got to see RG3 stand behind the pocket much, trying to figure out who/where to throw to with time. He was usually gone by then, if he hadn't thrown the ball (off a fake, of course) within the first 3 seconds of the play.

I see less leadership in RGIII, and obviously durability is a huge factor in his case. He can throw the ball though.

As for Luck, I just don't get the hype. Gabbert had a higher QB rating. He was 3rd in interceptions. Etc etc. He has yet to prove anything to me.

Maybe so. He's underrated though, he doesn't make any huge mistakes and he manages games very well. And he gets to ball out to Andre enough, so that's obviously a plus.

Maybe he's in the same tier as Cam, but not that much worse if he even is worse at all.

First 25 game Cam was in the discussion as top 10-15 QB. The last 7 game Cam is as good, or better, than anyone not headed to the HOF. If last 7 game Cam comes back even better, and there is every indication he is. There is probably no way he isn't considered an elite, must have, QB.

The light has already come on for Cam. And it is bright my friends.

Cam is the Prototype. Sit back and enjoy. Just try and remember this. You are watching a HOF career from its infancy.
