Cam wants the "C" per Person

I am not arguing about if what we did was right. Maybe it was right...maybe not...

But instead of threads like is Cam going to be our offensively captain...there should be threads like who is going to be our defensively captain.

The focus of this board, and the panther media should be on our defense. not newton. he is not the most important player on this team. i would argue luke is at this point.

There should be a law preventing this much fail in one post.

I'm not one for this guy means more than this one, but it makes no sense to me how any Carolina panthers fan (unless born after 2011) can say Cam Newton is not our most important player. If you sat through the Rodney Peete, jake, st. Pierre, and Jimmy fugin Clausen years its impossible to even think of not having Cam.

and why wouldn't he unseat one of those? it's quite possible that the players could vote him in as captain if he cranks it up a notch this offseason.

Who's really to say he doesn't unseat one of the two mainstay offensive captains?  Who's to say one of those guys won't lead the charge to try to get him that C if they see him making that step people wanted to see so badly this offseason?

 

I don't know whether he'll get it or not - but there's no reason he couldn't.

Hey, I understand, this is the interwebz after all. But there are only two reasons for trolling. One, you want(Crave) attention. As in, it is better to be abused than ignored. Two, you want folks to be as unhappy as you are. Neither of which contribute anything to society, or the Huddlez.

The way I see it. If Cam can impress Gross, that may do it. Gross has proven he gots Cam's back. If he thinks Cam has earned the honor, he may just give it to him. Gross is a grizzled vet. It may be time for him to pass the mantle. (It could be a huge psychological lift for Cam.)

To me, the light went on for Cam the week after the Bronco's game. I have no idea what happened, but he turned the corner after that game. And it sounds like he hasn't let up since as well. He is the leader of this team now. The only thing left is that C.

Part of me hopes he get that C. Part of me kinda wants him to keep fighting for it. (Staying hungry so to speak.)
