'Significant interest' in Jamarcus Russell. Has lost 50lbs since Feb.

Yeah lets feel bad about a guy who banked over $40,000,000 just to suck at football.

This^^^

I have zero sympathy for someone who had the opportunity of a lifetime, was paid $40M, and pissed it all away by being an idiot.

If he can turn his life around and do something now....good for him.  But, to feel bad for him....not a chance.

Exactly.

Feel bad for him? lmao

The same people that feel bad for him drive by homeless people every day and pretend not to see them.

If he lost 50 lbs and still has plenty of weight to lose he must have been way way way overweight. Hard to believe he has the singlemindedness to play quarterback in the  NFL given he never had it in college. If 50 million didn't motivate him the first time, it is hard to believe the vet minimum would do it now. Just because he loses weight doesn't mean he has the mind set to excel.

exactly.

i knew before he was drafted, that he was not a leader of men. he proved me right over and over again.

now suddenly, there are GMs and owners that feel he can be a leader?

I'd love to see that list, so i can laugh my as off at them.

but it also shows commitment. A major committment. Losing 50 lbs isn't easy.  Sometimes money isn't a motivating factor for everyone. I think he is truly embarassed and wants to right his wrong.  I hope the best for him.

I'm rooting for him, and hope he's able to turn his life around.  Would love to see him prove his doubters wrong, and go out there and become a star on the football field.  The chances of that happening are rather slim, but at least he's giving himself a slight chance by getting back in shape.

And to the poster who said the same people who feel bad for him drive by homeless people, and pretend not see them....I feel bad for him, and I help out the homeless in the Winston and Greensboro communities. I give when I can, plus volunteer my time helping out.  I want to see Jamarcus succeed, and hopefully he does just that.

I was all but 23 when I lost my mom.

She was only 44. Massive Heart attack in her sleep.

If i had 40 mil in the bank and an Nfl career i still wouldnt give a fvck.

That poo fvked me up for couple of years.

Anyone who hasnt been through that, their opinion on this matter is worthless.

Its like someone giving advice on parenting and dosent have a kid.
