Suit against city over Panthers deal is dismissed

A Superior Court judge has dismissed a complaint filed by four former media members against the City of Charlotte over city council’s negotiations with the Carolina Panthers about stadium improvements, one of the ex-media members said Monday afternoon.

Mike Cozza said he had not seen the ruling from Judge Robert Sumner but said he was told by several people that the judge had thrown out the complaint.

The media members had claimed the city violated the North Carolina Open Meetings Law and violated a 1970s-era order from then-Judge Frank Snepp, forcing city council, Mecklenburg County commissioners and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board to adhere to the law.

They mad.  :cam:

LOL, what did I tell you in the other thread... the city council is a bunch of lawyers with their own appointed lawyer to make sure they follow correct procedures, they were not going to hold such high-profile private meetings like they did unless they were 110% they were within their legal rights to do so.
