NFL Network: Franchise QB, Wilson or Cam?

I just wish they would have accurately point out that we also have Greg Olsen, Stewart, Tolbert, and Williams. We just havent figured out how to use them.

No one is going to point out all 3 runners....2 will 99% of the time be on the bench. We give that depth more value than someone who looks at what we are putting on the field

Anybody see the top 10 QBs 25 years or younger On NFL.com?

They got Wilson ranked 5th. They anounce the 4th today, and I have this terrible feeling imma see Cam on nfl.com today with 4 beside his name.

Cam

Luck

RG3

Kaep

Those are ones left. They haven't named Locker or Ponder, but I doubt they will.

Here comes my point. With all these great newbie QBs, why do they just pick two at a time to discuss?

Because barring a massive trade, injury, death, or drug bust, there isn't any other NFL news so they need to stretch anything interesting like a toddler discovering his foreskin, so they can still get played to babble.

Funny at the end (as already mentioned here) the guy brings up Wilson has won 12 and Cam 13 after the entire conversation revolved around Cam having less around him than Wilson. I respect Wilson a lot, I think he's a great QB, but he's on a beast of a team (one that is assumed to be in the playoffs this coming year). Bringing up TEAM wins when discussing who you want at ONE position doesn't really make sense at all. Just another reason why I don't spend time watching the "experts". And for god's sake, just mention Olsen once in a while.

Like we hav mentioned before, Cam had leads and should hav won more games. The D let him down on a few. Like the first falcons game last year and all the way back to his first NFL game against the Cardinals. Can't base it on wins alone.

How can you bet on a player who single-handedly  beat out the whole SEC and win a national championship. How do you even compare Wilson to a guy like that(Although I like Wilson). I don't think any QB in the NFL is comparable to Cam. Yes, that includes Brady and Manning. Yes they can pass. Cam can do that too. QBs are suppose to know how to throw. Let me know when another QB lead their team in rushing then come at me. Kiiiiing Cam!!!

Typically third round picks are in better position to win now than a no.1 overall pick with overhauls of coaching staffs and the shell shock of such an awful season.

Cam just has that unlikable quality to sports fans who hate someone showing bravado n arrogance.

When such a guy wins a national championship and Heisman award... And at the time, a record breaking rookie season(40 tds is the crown) they cannot wait to poke holes in that player: bad post game sulking, seemimgly isolation from teamates, having the name Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire as 60 year olds in the SEC still call him thinking they are witty, non playoff appearences(no matter the reason).

Players know his value n have to promote all the young guns too. Both are good, one has an unlimited ceiling.

I think many experts forget that Cam didn't run an offense in college that prepared him for the NFL. He was supposed to be a 3-4 year project. However, Cam's rookie season threw everyone for a loop, including me, and expectations became unreasonable. The point of the video was 'who would you start your franchise with' - not 'who is better prepared coming out of college'. Wilson, RG3, and Luck were all better prepared coming out of college to be NFL passers. And Kaepernick has the benefit of being coached by the guy most responsible for Luck's preparation.

Cam really looked like the QB we want him to be towards the end of last season. If he can continue that momentum into the beginning of his 3rd season, he will be an elite QB by the end of 2013. Which is really when we all expected him to begin to look like an NFL QB.
