Watched the Community Shield, first trophy for Moyes as MUFC manager, and I noticed that Antonio Valencia has changed his number.  Last season he played with the number 7(Cristiano Ronaldo's number), and this year he has reverted back to his previous 25.  Maybe I am reading too much into this but this could bring a little bit of truth that United are truly interested in bringing CR7 back and are paving the way for his return.

Of course they're interested, problem is Real isn't very interested in selling, and every time he's spoken since last year CR7 says he's very happy playing in Spain and for RM. just some BS the Daily Star threw on the wall to sell copies. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but Valencia asked to Change numbers from what I heard and read because he didn't like the pressure of the 7 shirt....

I'm a Liverpool fan as well, yeah they are a mess right now.  I want Suarez gone, why are we wanting to keep a player that doesn't want to be here?  Makes no sense, we'd have 2-3 months and a lot of cash to work with if we sold him.  We would be able to find guys to combine to replicate his production

 

I'm in agreement.  I don't want to sell him to anyone else but Arsenal though.  If he's going to constantly lie and then try to use the English media (which he apparently hates so much) to get a transfer, then I want to send him to a UCL club that has no chance of winning anything.  Arsenal fits the bill.

Spanish Journalist Josep Pedrerol is reporting that Madrid has given Tottenham two revised offers.  The first, a one time payment of 87 million Euros, and the second 98.7 million Euros in four installments.  Tottenham pushing for Morata or Jese to be included, but Real apparently has told them not to bother asking for either.  Their options of players are one, and that's Coentrao.  Modric doesn't want to go back, and di Maria has gone on record saying he wont agree to a transfer to Tottenham....

 

Also when probed today about a potential transfer to Real Madrid Bale told reports "now is not the time to talk"....

Spurs and Liverpool going head to head to sign Willian from Anghi. Willian is £35-£40m rated winger. Seems like it will be either Suarez or Bale replacement. Spurs will spend way over £100m if they acquire Willian.

On a side note... Willian never played against top competition so I have no idea how he will fair in EPL. He had few good matches in Champion League and FA cup.

 At that point they would pretty much have to take whatever they could get for Bale.  This spending leads me to believe the deal has already been agreed to but Spurs wanted time to fill their roster before it was announced.  Sucks for RM if true, but meh....

Spurs do not have £100m... poo, they don't even have £40m in transfers. They backloaded all the deals in hope they will get champion league next year. It's a gamble. Leeds United did it a decade ago, it didn't workout for them.

Strong rumors in Spain that City is going to make another run for Pepe.  Offer is supposed to be 30 million Euros.  I would accept it honestly if (and only if) they could seal the deal for Inigo Martinez from Sociedad.

Also rumors that Chelsea will go after Eto'o if they can't seal the deal on Rooney.

Yea.. Eto is what 34 years old? I doubt he do well in EPL. Would be a mistake for the Blues.

Rumors have it that Man U willing to sell Rooney to Arsenal but not Chelsea. Arsenal will submit 1 more bid for Suarez and if unsuccessful will move for Rooney.

Would make sense since you would think Chelsea along with Man City would be United's direct competition in pursuit of their league title defense.
