While I don't agree with the money being talked about for Bale, I will say his value isn't just based on his play on the pitch.  RM will easily make their money back during the 5 or more years Bale is with the club....

The hype around Bale is absurd.  He'd do well to go to RM though.  Easy league to score in.

Bale's value is as much as someone is willing to pay to acquire his services. Basic econ at work. I'm a Spurs fan and I wouldn't value him that high, but if RM is stup...err, bold enough to offer that or more, why not take them for every cent we can?

 

 

Again though, I'm still of the camp of "I'll believe it when I see it." The newsrags are just too unreliable, throwing out comments to stir the pot. I'm honestly of the belief that they are hired to a degree to push whatever agenda the employer wants them to.

It seems that's what Spurs said to RM. Thats why RM wants to give em players and now they thinking about selling CR. RM don't have enough cash.

I seriously doubt they are actually thinking about selling CR7.  Perhaps if he came to them and told them he wanted to go they would consider it, but I find it highly unlikely that they're selling the second best player on the planet to raise funds to buy Bale.  The only outlet that is reporting RM is contemplating selling CR7 to United is the Daily Star, and they were full of poo a month ago when they reported it, and I would be willing to bet they're full of poo now....
