He's marketable worldwide I would think.  He's on the verge of becoming a super star and still improving.  I would say they could easily make their money back on shirt sales being that Madrid wont agree to a contract that a player doesn't surrender at least 50% of their image rights (one of the big issues when they went after Neymar)....

You might be right, spurs have a history of selling their player on the last day of transfer window.

Tottenham plan to break their wage ceiling in an effort to keep Bale. This is going to be a bit of a drawn out process, unless Bale forces a move. It would be in Tottenham's best interest to get that figured out ASAP.

If I were Tottenham, I would sell Bale at £80m today.  You can buy a lot with that kitty.  You could make some moves this window, and then finish it off in the January transfer window.

 

Of course, if you transfer in January, you might piss Wenger off again.

Yep I agree completely, and I believe most Tottenham fans would too.  Problem is Levy acts like business is personal, and lets his pride get in the way of making smart decisions....

So it looks like if/when the Kondogbia deal goes through he will go back to Sevilla for a yr on loan.  Makes sense since we have Khedira, Xabi, Illara, Modric all playing back there...
