How did Hardy fall to the 6th round in the 2010 NFL Draft?

he had a bad foot in his junior season and only played 8 games. the coaches wanted him to play injured. he didn't. that's essentially it.

plus he's a bit of an oddball and marches to his own beat. some thought that this would be a big problem.

Yeah, it you follow him on fb and Twitter that might be a slight understatement.. He's pretty out there, but I think that serves him well on the field.

I liked what Dwan Edwards said...

"When you first meet him, you think to yourself, 'hmmm, he might be a little off'. But after you've had the chance to get to know him and work with him, then you say 'yeah, he's a little off'

Injury, motor/work ethic and character concerns.

The crazy thing is that Hardy was considered worthy of being taken #1 overall. He certainly played like a Top 10 DE last year after all. He's not an athletic freak like Peppers but Greg is still a terror once the ball is snapped.

Hardy may not be a freak like pep but he is still pretty damn athletic for a 285 pound DE and his motor doesn't ever stop not to mention he plays meaner than hell and pep was a big pussy.

It wasn't really his injury.  Played a part but the biggest thing is he was a mental nut.  Everyone figured there was just something off about him, which threw them off and he was resented because of it.  A lot of people just blamed this on him having supposedly poor work ethic.  Which maybe was true but isn't applicable today.
