Carolina Panthers’ Greg Hardy leaner, just as mean in 2013

How/Why are they going to replace CJ? It seems as if your implying that they might cut Johnson next year...

Now I'm not 100% sure of all the details of Johnson's contract, but I'm sure that they would owe him a hell of a lot of money...

I'm not really sure the point you're trying to make.

No not cut him, but it would really difficult to pay cam + 2 elite DEs and the rest of the team.  More of a down the road option running Alexander for cheap, Hardy for top flight money and ties being cut with CJ.  Was not thinking next year at all, more like 3 years.

I would definitely like to see Hardy have a break out year, and definitely take his place as one of the up and coming premier pass rushers in the NFL. If he does that, I have no problem with Gettleman giving him his money.

How does last season not count as his "break out year?"

i'd say double digit sacks kind of makes it a break out year.

what else would it take?

i'm pretty sure the league noticed CJ and hardy last year.

C'mon Gregg. Get it together. Last year you bulked up. This year you slimmed down. Pick one will ya. Can somebody get a handle on this guys or what?

Also. I don't care how many sacks he had last year. If he can't get it together and get 10+ sacks this year, he should be gone. I am through with all this complacency up in here. (Best rayzor voice)

Cereally, we got some Beasts on this team. Hard not to be excited over the future. Well, at least it is for me.

Hardy is a huge impact player. He is/will be more valuable than CJ. Just a better athlete with a scary meanstreak. Actually, Hardy is an incredibly freakish athlete. No way I would let him go unless he just didn't want to be here any longer. I'd field all rookie undrafted DBs before letting this kid walk in FA. I'd cut Beason and TD tomorrow before letting this kid walk. I'd bring in all rookie WRs and TEs next to Smitty before letting him walk. Of course I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the point.

The only players I wouldn't consider releasing/trading to keep Hardy are Cam and Keek. The Kraken is some freaky mix of Peppers and John Randle. You often see guys in the league with great motors and a touch of crazy. You often find great athletes in the league. Very rarely do you find both in the same player.
