I think this is rayzor's point....see, instead of debating a difference in opinion with your thoughts on the issue you elect to go down to the "we will wallow in silence in your greatness" type nonsense. If you are tired of discussing the topic why not just quit replying.

What are you two, siamese twins? You have to fight each others battles together?

CRA, you have NO room to talk.

lol, again, when did i ever intimate that was better than anyone at all?

never mind. I'm done.you win. i think I'm king of the world.

Well if you say so, great post sir.

You two cock masters may as well go ahead and pie each others posts too while you're at it.

Ima just leave this here...

http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9326009

- New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin remains irritated with wide receiver Hakeem Nicks' absence from a voluntary OTA for the second straight week.

Nicks has not spoken about his absence, and Coughlin says his understanding is that the receiver has not been in touch recently with anybody else in the organization. Nicks is entering the final year of his contract, and the Giants hope to keep their former first-round pick signed long term.

Understandable....he wants a deal before risking his body on the field. If he gets hurt this year....he wouldn't be in a good spot

Yea but he went on record saying that wasn't the reason. Even had a writer change their story. I'm not sure if it would be worth it to say all that. I can see why he wants to be locked up long term, but why would he say it has nothing to do with his contract?

Well, unless he has a personal issue he doesn't want disclosed and talked about in the media.....a contract is all that makes sense. Also, I don't put tons of stock on what people say to the media in times like this.

Yeah, totally understandable. But is he beginning to rub Tom and Co. the wrong way? Think it kind of exacerbates the situation, when you've have both your top WR appearing to be putting up a stand for big contracts.

Yea i can get that. Just heard he was involved in all of the offseason programs before OTA's.

edit: nevermind he went on record said it was contract related, didn't want to do it through the media. my b.

Well that is the business side is things....which Tom wouldn't be in on. He just wants to play football with his guys. So him being irked is also understandable. But if your Nicks, I would think Coughlin being irked is something you do if it is strictly a business move and not some sort of personal issue. I would think a personal issue could and should at least be disclosed to Tom.....and that would solve a lot of that. Most coaches, most, from what I have seen try to help players with real problems

I think that if Nicks doesn't get his pay raise this season, he's as good as gone. One of those WRs will be gone. I don't see a way they retain both next season. I just kind of wonder if that situation make one trade bait this year (I know its been talked to death) especially with a couple young guys in the wings. And the fact that NY isn't known for handing out huge pay days.
