This was the original Charlotte Hornets (NBA) color palette, as designed by Alexander Julian. Teal was the primary color. The Hornets used a darker Purple in the logos, and the more "Magenta" shade in the uniforms. The Royal Blue, Kelly Green and Light Blue colors were used as pinstriping in the uniforms, while the Cyan was only used in the warmup uniforms. The Warm Red and Black were only present in the primary logo. Contrary to popular belief, the primary uniform trim color was not Purple; rather, it was Royal Blue.
