Shabazz Muhammad Bandwagon

Recommended Posts

Yeah he plays nothing like Harden. I see Shabazz as a silghtly better version of Marshon Brooks- good scorer with good size at the 2, but doesnt really do anything else on the court. Plus their games are similar- they both love to post up a lot, which is a lost art at that position

I Dno. His game to me is more Harden than Brooks. I've seen nothing yet for him to tell me he's Brook.

James Harden has always reminded me of Ginobli- he creates off the dribble, and even though he looks to score first he can find the open guy when he needs to.  Shabazz looks to shoot first, and if he gets stopped he shoots it anyways.

I could see the similarities to Harden in that Shabazz is a crafty player, he may not have crazy athleticism but he finds ways to score with a change of pace on his dribble and a physical style that should let him score in the NBA.  If Shabazz cant figure out how to distribute the ball though I cant see him being more than a really good 6th man as instant offense off the bench

I think you're basing it on Harden's past season. No one really thought Harden was anything more than a role player, 6th man kind of guy until this season. He proved a lot of people wrong that he's capable of being the no.1 guy. Bazz is still only 20 yrs old and we have only seen 1 season of him. It can only get better from here on.

Harden has a great feel for the game and suprised many with how adept at scoring he was as a primary guy. Even coming off the bench you could see that he was worthy for a larger role somewhere else.

He was considered a sixth man bc he WAS the sixth man for OKC.

Shabzz has more in common with CJ Leslie than Harden. His ceiling is not as high as predicted either.

Great call.. Harden is young Manu with more scoring ability!! Both are matchup nighmares that score n run an offense. I want a James Hardin!!

SI.com reports that multiple league executives think Shabazz Muhammad will fall out of the lottery in June's draft.

Muhammad was once thought of as a guaranteed lottery pick and a possible top-five selection. However, the UCLA swingman was unimpressive at the scouting combine and SI.com quotes at least one Eastern Conference exec as being concerned about the depth of Muhammad's game. While it's wise to take this talk with a healthy grain of salt, it's worth mentioning since this isn't the first time we've heard of Muhammad's name sliding down draft boards.

Not considering this guy at all with the #4 pick.

I just find his story with his dad funny. He married a athlete to breed an athlete. I believe his other siblings were athletes as well but not as good as Shabazz. And then naming him Shabazz because it was a "marketable" name. As well as playing him with the lower age group to make sure he stood out. His dad truly living vicariously through him. Entertaining dude.
