A front court of T-rob and Biz makes me sad.

 

A backcourt  of  Kemba and Carter Will is scary bad. We might as well go sign Shaun Livingston and start him.

 

 

 

Bazz as a SG is a bad idea. 

 

 

Just a bunch of Bad line-ups coming from my Hornets nation.

 

What are your line-ups? Once again my line-ups are based on the understanding that we are going to suck for one more year but acquire depth and talent. They are in the hopes of getting top3 in 2014 but be competitive in 2013.

"Kansas’ Ben McLemore was pretty much a top three pick on everybody’s board a month ago, but he may be sliding down some boards right now.

In part that is because the smooth-shooting guard out of Kansas didn’t help his cause in some recent workouts, reports Chad Ford at ESPN.com (Insider).

Multiple sources told me that his workout in Phoenix was not impressive; he wasn’t in shape, and he struggled to keep up in the workout. I heard similar things in Orlando. McLemore is in a tug-of-war right now between adviser Rodney Blackstock and his agency Rivals. It’s kept McLemore out of the gym and for the most part, out of workouts. How much will all of this affect the draft stock?

Probably not that much, because teams are drafting on talent (and think it’s the people around McLemore pulling him in different directions that is hurting his cause).

There’s no doubt McLemore is talented. He’s a 6’4” shooting guard, with a silky-smooth shot. He’s a late bloomer and a guy you can say the most overused of draft buzzword about — upside — and be right. But he isn’t great at creating his own shot so he needs to be paired with a point guard (or other shot creator). Our man Rob Dauster at CollegeBasketballTalk has said he thinks the ceiling for McLemore is the 2010 version of Ray Allen — a knock down shooter who can do a few other things and makes a great third player on a very good team.

In this draft, that likely keeps him up high. DraftExpress still has him at No. 2 to Orlando. He’s likely still top three, but we will see."

I would love to grab McLemore at no.4. He's still my no.1 prospect. As much as I'd like to have an all around BIG man like Len, it's too intriguing to think of a 2014 backcourt of Kemba (PG), McLemore (SG), Wiggins/Parker (SF), and MKG coming off the bench as a 6th man or even getting some minutes at PF.

This draft is killing me. I have changed my mind so many times, especially when it comes to the SG position.

 

If I can't have Noel or Len, I am thinking McLemore would be my pick over Oladipo because we need shooting but I absolutely hate his passiveness. We are starting to build a nice, young team who likes to scratch and fight for everything and then we add this guy? Is his potential worth the risk? 

 

Oladipo works hard, Shabazz works hard and McLemore shows up overweight.

His stock started slipping when he became non-existent in the NCAA tourney

2 teams that needed front court help drop him. Yes he can't control that he isn't Nba material. I have never seen a team cut a top 10 pick in half a season. Never.

Len visted Dr. Andrews after meeting with the Hornets yesterday and he is progressing nicely.

 

Maryland C Alex Len (ankle surgery) has been cleared to walk without crutches.

 

Len underwent ankle surgery in early May and was slapped with a 4-6 month rehab timetable. Despite this, he's gaining buzz as the possible choice for the Cavs at No. 1 overall. He's bigger than Nerlens Noel, and has a more refined offensive game. Any positive health reports on Len are big for his stock ahead of the June 27 draft.
