NFL/Microsoft(XBOX ONE) Aim To Enhance Fan's TV Viewing Experience

Recommended Posts

How could you say the Original Xbox is better than anything Sony has ever offered? The original Xbox was so bad that Microsoft scrambled to release the 360 only 4 years after it released in 2001. The only thing it had going for it was Halo 1 and 2. The original xbox sold about 24 million units while the PS2 sold 155 million units. Now as far as this current generation goes I have both the 360 and PS3 and I play both equally. The PS3 has better exclusive games and has a blu-ray player, but the 360 has the better controller. According to this website PS3 has now sold more units than the 360 and it is a year younger; if you are going to make a bold statement like that either back it up with proof or shut up. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/01/ps3-overtakes-xbox-360-in-global-sales-figures/

Wow, chill out bud... do you need a tampon?

I am allowed to have an opinion whether you think I'm entitled to or not.

As far as gaming consoles go, I have both and I prefer the XBOX.

Finally, I was unaware that sales was the end all be all in determining what a hard core game is. PC gamers are frequently recognized as the most hardcore gamers there are and I can guarantee you that there aren't as many gaming PC's sold throughout a year as there are XBOX's and Play Stations...

You really need to get a grip on reality lol.

IMO Xbox one is trying to do too much. Trying to be the "one" entertainment box that a person and/or family needs is a big mistake. This isn't even a "Gaming" console, it is an entertainment box.

Most gamers don't have cable, most don't even worry about their basic local channels. They want to fire up a game and play. I like the whole seemless switch between games and applications, but the whole TV aspect shouldn't be a focus point, that should just be an added bonus to the gaming abilities.

Integrating social media and connecting everything in the world to the xbox is too much. And guess what, it will probably be priced as such. You have the ps4 coming out as a gaming console, and the xbox as a effing cable box, dvr, home entertainment, gaming device, etc. It will be priced that way. So if a gamer wants to play COD and that's it, they are paying for a "rocket science" camera and a device that lets them do a bunch of crap they will never touch.

Weird. I just wanted a xbox 360 with better graphics.

The all in one entertainment would be great for people like me..

I aint living at home where i got free internet and direct tv thanks to mom and dad.

A kid like me who is at school paying for an apartment and paying for utilities, this is a great thing.

Yes there will be fees, but ot would be much easier having everything in one, including a place where i can watch the panthers.

Because hardcore PC gamers buy their PC's?

Don't forget the Xbox One doesn't come out of the box with all the hardware needed for the ability watch live TV.  You need to buy another piece of hardware to attach to it.  Also that feature would only be available in US at launch.

You do realize that 360 and PS3 sales COMBINED barely compete with the DS, right? Oh, and throw in another 100 million Wii consoles sold (360 and PS3 each sold fewer than 80 million worldwide).

I would say Nintendo knows its market very well... by like a 3 to 1 margin over Sony and Microsoft.

Tell me how that next gen Wii U is doing then?  It has been a complete flop.  Nintendo sold a lot of Wii hardware.  Unfortunately they are making nothing from it since no one is actually buying Wii games.

They made a ton of profit from the Wii, it was sold at profit from the launch. Same with the Wii U and the Gamecube. DS and 3ds were more costly but still turned a profit at launch system wise.
