The problem is that everything described in that article can already be done by someone with a computer and the internet.  They're not adding anything of value... just being "innovative" for the sake of being "innovative".  My lack of interest has nothing to do with not "understanding that things are moving forward", it has to do with the fact that it's all pointless. 

 

Who cares if Sean Payton is holding a tablet?  You really think NFL coaches want to be reliant on something that doesn't give them instant access to their information that's organized exactly how they want it AND that can actually break at any given moment?  If Peyton Manning watching video on the sideline instead of looking at pictures had any kind of value they would have made it happen already; it's not like this is new technology.  I applaud the thought process, but at this very early stage nothing they've mentioned holds innovative value.

I'll just buy both of them. Both has games that the other don't. Xbox has halo and Playstation has some games Xbox don't have.

In my opinion each gaming console that Microsoft has put out has been better than anything Sony has ever offered... I'm not a hard core gamer, but "hardcore" gamers tend to agree. 

 

Now if you pair that with some other features like they are doing now, it could be a very successful console.

 

How could you say the Original Xbox is better than anything Sony has ever offered? The original Xbox was so bad that Microsoft scrambled to release the 360 only 4 years after it released in 2001. The only thing it had going for it was Halo 1 and 2. The original xbox sold about 24 million units while the PS2 sold 155 million units. Now as far as this current generation goes I have both the 360 and PS3 and I play both equally. The PS3 has better exclusive games and has a blu-ray player, but the 360 has the better controller. hardware wise, the first xbox was light years ahead of the PS2.

While this might not be for everyone, there is no downside to it.  If you don't find it interesting then you wont have to use it of course. So this is only a good thing for the NFL, XBox and consumers of the two.

As for Xbox vs PS, Their sales are relatively similar so it really comes down to what you like.  If you like online multiplayer games then I find it hard to argue against XBox 360 due to Xbox live just being superior to PSN.  If you're more of a single player, rpg type then I could see why PS might be more attractive.  I personally like Xbox better but I own them both.  A lot of people are saying that Xbox one is going to be hard to compete with due to the fact that while the hardwares for both is similar, Xbox one will have way more non-gaming features that are included.  Also Microsoft has been really going all in on bringing exclusive games and DLC to its system, using their cash advantage to muscle out Sony.  I'll probably get them both but I will be getting the Xbox One first.

Alright I should have said there is no reasonable downside to it.  So unless Belichick enlists the help of hackers to break into the opposing coaches digital playbooks then its a win-win for all.

Growing up I was a devout Nintendo fanboy.  The N64 was the premier system in my mind.  But oh how far the mighty have fallen.  They can't make a game without involving a bunch of big headed stick figures doing menial tasks or some ridiculous motion control crap that actually detracts from the game.

You do realize that 360 and PS3 sales COMBINED barely compete with the DS, right? Oh, and throw in another 100 million Wii consoles sold (360 and PS3 each sold fewer than 80 million worldwide).

I would say Nintendo knows its market very well... by like a 3 to 1 margin over Sony and Microsoft.
