In my opinion each gaming console that Microsoft has put out has been better than anything Sony has ever offered... I'm not a hard core gamer, but "hardcore" gamers tend to agree. 

 

Now if you pair that with some other features like they are doing now, it could be a very successful console.

 

Maybe if you only look at third party games it's better sure.  If you actually take into account the games that sell systems (the exclusives) then the PS3 quality and variety blows the 360 out of the water (and I own all three consoles and a WiiU)....

 

Also, what evidence do you have to support that "hardcore" gamers tend to agree the 360 is the better console?

Save your money and buy all of the consoles like I do.  Then you don't have to choose.

Oh, by "all the consoles" I did not mean to imply that anything Nintendo has produced since the N64 qualifies.

Meh Ninty consoles are worth it just for Legend of Zelda games, and Mario with the wife imo....

I own two of the three (PS3 and XBOX) and I tend to only use the PS3 for sports games because the mechanics tend to be better on the PS3 but as far as "shoot em up" games, XBOX has always been the superior console (in my opinion).

That's pretty much my extent as a gamer goes... I just like the idea that Microsoft is incorporating the new XBOX regarding this whole NFL idea...

Maybe, but I have this "other" game I play with my wife.

 

I have owned every Ninty (as you put it) console ever put out except the WeeU but usually it gathers dust as Sony and MS churn out must-have games and Mario Inc. rehashes the SOS.

 

Either way...let's get off of wives.....

I mean the PS3 has outsold the 360 world wide, so I find it hard to believe that most hardcore gamers prefer the 360. I would say its honestly pretty even...
