If we never sign another FA over the age of 35 ever again, I'd be happy with that. Don't wish any ill-will on a brother, but I wasn't even slightly interested in him or anybody else that age. It's just my opinion and don't flame me...I'm slightly over 35 myself.

Can't say I wouldn't have been stoked if we signed him, but I'm not too sad that we didn't. He would have been a temporary fix anyway, so this just gives us more of a chance to test out our 2x national champion UDFA rookie. Or Mitchel for that matter.

 

Plus, given that he signed with the Raiders, I'm guessing we couldn't have afforded him anyway. Or, I mean we could have afforded him, but wouldn't have put up that money with the new 1 year vet minimum philosophy Gettleman has brought to our organization. I'll be interested to find out how much this deal was for.

I think we can use that cap space more efficient (Hardy, Cam next year,OT?,...)
