I get that, but I dont know if I want to see a Bennett vs. Randolph match up.

If Randolph backs off him, he takes the Jumper. Plays him tight he uses his speed and dribble to take him to the hole. It would be horrible for Randolph. He wouldn't have the speed to keep up with him. Randolph isn't very athletic or fast and has problems defensively away from the paint.  Bennett's pretty damn athletic and fast for a 6-8 240/250 pound guy.

He's really too small to play the PF position in today's NBA where the players only keeps on getting bigger. He's an inch smaller than MKG. I just dont believe it until I see it. The boy can def ball, but I think his height is going to hurt him. I'll wait and see though.

I'm still interested in seeing Bennett's measurements. Right now wingspan means very little alone.

Biz has amazing wingspan, but he still gets blocked a lot and has trouble with some of the big/long guys with jumpers. One thing I have also noticed is Biz doesn't use his wingspan. I haven't seen enough of Bennett to know if he does.

While I don't know anything about Bennett I do have a slight problem with your statement the NBA keeps getting bigger. You really aren't watching the same NBA I am apparently. Most teams are getting smaller and quicker in todays game. Yeah the playoffs have quite a few traditional teams(most of which have older bigmen, seriously name one traditional big under 25 in the NBA, I cannot think of one) this year but if Westbrook was healthy you'd have another heat thunder final and both those teams play smaller lineups where there real big are just roleplayers at best.

The key in the NBA is talent first matchups second so if Bennett is the most talented guy you take him and worry about matchups later. Take the knicks pacers series where Melo played the four. You ended up with David West on a guard on defense and while the knicks couldn't take advantage of that(they lack talent) most teams would have killed them(imagine west trying to guard klay thompson or ray allen etc). Not saying we should definitely take Bennett but if the kid can legitimately ball(no idea if he can or not never seen him play) you draft him and worry about positions and matchups later.

Long post short I disagree with your assertion good sir.

Bennett uses his wingspan nicely.  He's an explosive leaper and has good handles, is able to make outside shots including three pointers. Also has a good handle and is able to run the floor both with out the ball and with it.  6-7 with a 7-1 wingspan with quickness and explosiveness.

Here are a few highlights though.

Quite a few teams have Centers that are 6-9/6-10 so they have taller PF's to combat that. But most PF and Centers in the NBA are around 6-9 to 6-10.

That's a big difference though. You can have 6'9''-6'10'' Centers, but having a 6'7" PF/C isnt the same.

Those were all PF's and most of them are 6-8. Bennett isn't going to be playing Center he's going to be a PF only. LMAO. Which means he matches up well with most of the NBA PF's.

Bennett had one of the best FG% at the rim in the NCAA at 74%.  He could also be used as a very effective stretch 4 to open up the driving lanes for Kemba and MKG.

The thing is this, I think Bennett is a natural PF, not SF. You don't want a 6'7 to act like he's a center playing vs. Hibbert, Chandler, Davis, etc. Melo and Barnes got some good look at the PF in the Playoffs bc team adjusted to them. Look at the Memphis vs. Clippers game. Hollins denied to play small vs. LA that's how they ended up beating the Clipps. You want to get as big as possible. No one is looking to get smaller. There might not be 7 footers but everywhere you look it's 6'10 Bigs. We're going to be extremely small with Bennett and Biz. Like I said, I know the kid can ball. I'm just concern with how his height is going to affect him in the next level.

Another Bennett problem: He sees himself as a 3! I don't know why people gloss over that fact. He loves the outside game. You guys get tired of Byron Mullens jacking up shots well there is a good chance that Bennett would do much of the same.

I truly hope Im wrong bc we need a PF

Find a reason for us to disagree. Probably cant lol

He's a natural PF imo. He's built like one other than being 6'7". I dont know if he has the speed to catch up with the SF in the NBA. Now with him at PF, he's going to be 2 inches shorter than the rest of the NBA PF. Its going to be hard. His game is too much to like, but his size is a turnoff. He's too big for a SF. He's not going to be keeping up with Paul George, Barnes, etc.

Once again the height doesn't matter if it's a small gap and he's got the wingspan and athleticism to make up for it. With his leaping ability and arm length he can play down in the low post against the PF in the NBA. 15 of the starting NBA PF's are 6-8 or 6-9. 7 of them are 6-10. Which means that 22 of the 30 NBA teams have a smallish PF and most them don't have the wingspan and athleticism that Bennett has.  Most of the rest of the NBA has problems against the few teams that have 6-11 and 7-0 tall PF's any way, but Bennett will at least be able to take them off the dribble move them out of the paint with his 3 pt ability.

Bennett is a natural PF at 6-7, 240 with a 7-1 Wingspan. He's quick enough to take most SF off the dribble though.
