Who all remembers the Smash and Dash name controversy?

Stop trying to speak for everyone lol. You are the only dude that didn't know what I was talking about. I'm sorry you have never heard smith be referred to as superman, but he has been, and my whole point was that we have three guys that have been called that. Not "Smitty is our superman and everyone knows it". Maybe you watch more games these days than you did back in smiths prime, hence the "cam era" comment.

Stop being stubborn and move on, you learned something knew today.

Go ahead and take the last word though if that makes you feel like a big boy.

How am I trying to speak for everyone?

No, I haven't heard it.  Show me where.  Besides that, your post was entirely present tense anyway.  "We have three guys on our team called that alone."  Even if we want to take the assumption that you are correct, Smith's moniker was Superman in 2005 or in the past (it wasn't; referred that a couple of times, maybe, but hardly his nickname), it certainly hasn't been the case since 2008 or currently.

Hey Mage, this dudes wife pays more attention than you.

Get on her level bro.

Clearly.  Since one persons wife says it, I guess that must mean I'm wrong.

Smith's moniker/nickname was nor is it Superman.  But if I'm wrong, why do you so adamantly refuse to show me some articles where he has been referred to as that?  Unlike most people here, I'm absolutely willing to admit when I'm wrong.  If you can prove me wrong, I'll admit it.  So, go ahead.  Show me some examples of Smith being referred to as Superman as if it was his nickname (which means don't show me something saying "That was a Superman-esque play" or something of the ilk).

So, show me something.  Like I said, I'm a reasonable person.  I'll admit I'm wrong if you can show it.

Why does it have to be an article? Can you show me an article for Cam or Luke? Not only do I not feel like digging up some article that doesn't exist probably, but I'm sick of reading your paragraphs of BS trying to save face.

I have heard Smith referred to as Superman many times through his career, and so have many other huddlers as you can see from the comments above. He has a fugging superman tattoo on his arm for a reason. There are pictures and videos of him being reffered to as superman, he even did a superman celebration waaaaaay before Cam was even drafted.

I don't know why you need so much God damn proof to shut the fug up but you sure are stubborn and annoying.

Show me where Cam and Luke have been reffered too as Superman more than smith. Cam does a fuggin taunt, that's it. Luke has been called Clark kent by some teammates, big fuggin whoop. Do you actually think the guys go around calling those two superman and Clark kent? No. Luke's nickname in the locker room is Uncle Luke, but I'm sure you've missed that too.

The NFL.com Top 100 thing alone referred to Kuechly as Kent/Superman more times than I have heard the same for Smith.  But if you want to play your route, who goes around calling Smith Superman?

And no, I didn't miss it.  But keep making assumptions.  However, I'm not even sure Kuechly qualifies for the nickname either as he is mainly only called that in, "Carolina has its Superman on defense after drafting its Superman on offense" (Basically we hit on 2 great picks in a row and MLB leads defense).

As for Newton, I don't need to find an article/video (but I can if you actually want me to and aren't just spewing ignorance now) to know he is referred to as Superman far more than Smith is or ever has been.  When was the last time Smith was referred to as Superman?  Why don't you tell me?  Kuechly was referred to Superman just the other week in the top 100.  Newton is obvious.  So give me Smith.  Show me the last time.

And why does it have to be an article?  Well, it doesn't.  Just find me something where Smith is referred to as Superman.  If that was his moniker/nickname, then I'm sure there is at least 1.

I don't need proof, personally.  I couldn't care less.  I already know Superman was never and still isn't Smith's true moniker.  You're the one who jumped on the case and you're the one who is so adamant that Smith's nickname was that.  So I'm asking you to show me a couple of times where he was referred to as that.  Once you do, I'll admit I was wrong.  I'm not the one being stubborn here and from the looks of it, I'm not the one getting angry, either.  I'm just asking for 1 example.  Is that too much to ask?  If it is, tell me and I'll just stop.

So you're basing everything off of the top 100 show, lol.

Cam is known as superman due to his celebration, and with the way media is nowadays, nicknames stick easier and are spread like wildfire.

Smith was reffered to superman many times in his prime like I said. Maybe you watched the games on mute or something but there were many times after one of Smiths jaw dropping plays that he got the overused "moniker" of superman. I'm not going to dig through game tape to prove that to you, because just like that dudes wife, pretty much every Panther fan remembers that poo.

And why do you think he has a huge superman tat on his arm? You are completely dodging that fact and it is more proof than any dumbass commentary on a top 100 show.

Just because you were unaware, doesn't mean that he hasn't been reffered to as superman. I can explain that to you a million times but I can't help you understand it. I understand you don't want to admit being wrong, and you want the last word, so please go ahead and take it. I'm done running in circles watching you try to save face for being unaware of something.

I'm not basing everything off the top 100 show.  Are you that dense?  You asked for an example.  Besides that, I clearly said afterwards that even with Kuechly, I don't believe Superman to really be his nickname as much as it is just said about him because he plays MLB and was drafted the year after Newton, hence the whole, "Superman of our defense," thing.

And it doesn't matter why he [Cam] is known for it.  It is the fact he IS known for it.  Is Smith known as Superman?  No.  Is Smith's moniker Superman?  No.  Has it ever been Superman?  No.  What about that can you not understand?

And he has a huge Tazmanian Devil tattoo too.  Does that mean his nickname is the Tazmanian Devil (though I think that would suit him a lot more than Superman, actually)?  Having a tat of something doesn't make that your nickname.  Smith was never commonly referred to as Superman.  Like I said, referred to as it sporadically, sure.  But it was never his nickname and not nearly to the extent of Newton's.

Considering you have said you were done like 3 times now, I'll take it with a grain of salt.  As for not wanting to admit I'm wrong... again, are you that dense?  I clearly said if you could give me an example, I'd admit I was wrong.  Alas, you refuse to do so because it is a "waste of time."  I've admitted to being wrong plenty... well, on other sites, not this one because I often do not enter debates here and this is precisely why.  However, if anyone remembers, I admitted I was wrong when I made a misinformed comment about rookies and how they affect the salary cap.  So no, it has nothing to do with that.  I am confident enough about my intelligence that being wrong does not bother me unlike you, who has to take petty shots to make yourself feel better.
