Wheres KT now? We've got some crow cooking up for him

I just have a feeling that this is going to be the beginning of a boost to CLT sports. Hornets name back, new Panthers GM and a feeling of actual team direction, Knights moving to Uptown

Calling this right now. I nailed it last year when I said the NO Hornets would get the #1 pick as part of the deal of the NBA selling off the team and losing an asset like CP3.

Kings or Charlotte Hornets will win the #1 pick.

The Hornets announcement is supposed to take like 2 hours before the NBA lottery. This gives the Hornets some momentum with a name change announcement. Also, as a payback from the complete BS that went down with the team/lottery last year. They have great odds of winning it even without a fix from Stern.

With the Kings, that team/fanbase/city has been put through a lot the past two seasons, and being awarded the #1 pick will be a way to smooth over relations since they aren't moving now.

The only thing to keep in mind though is people are seriously starting to question the legitimacy of the lottery, and with the boom in social media, it's much easier to connect the dots and find a smoking gun.

Loving this!! It's been real bobcats, been to about 20 games before I moved to Colorado but literally bought a Hornets hat today and came home and saw that there's a "major announcement" tomorrow from the Bobcats! Maybe it's fate but I can't tell you enough how excited I am to be a Charlotte Hornets fan once again!!!!

I will be flying home for that 1st home game... The new Hive will be electric! More than the playoff game against the magic in 2010, that was probably the loudest the Cable Box has ever been for a bobcats game( was there) but a new era of Charlotte Hornets basketball is upon us fans!! And damnn it feels good!!!

Thank You Mr. Jordan !!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think it's in the best interest now to forgive and move on from the complete BS that Jordan has done the past 3-4 years. Let's hit the reset button on the franchise and support OUR team. If he didn't care he wouldn't have done this.

Also, gotta give a shot out to Bob Johnson - without him this wouldn't have been possible.

Who cares! It's always been about us and OUR team. That dude will have his Baron Davis jersey out in no time!

I would not be surprised at all if he was just as excited about this as we are in real life.

Haha good point. If the Bobcats win the #1 pick this year, the MUST hit the nail on the head. Hopefully they will find someone to trade down with b/c they are going to be in a big predicament with a top selection. Going to be hard to pass on Trey Burke.

Burke will be like the same caliber player as Kemba.  If we get a top 2 pick you go with either Noel or McLemore, imo.  I like Noel because you can take him, sit him the first 20-30 games and pile up that horrible record.  One more year of tanking.  Could you IMAGINE the Hive opening day featuring Andrew Wiggins in purple and teal?  I literally just got goosebumps typing this.

Per Sports Business Daily

The Bobcats will hold a press conference tomorrow at 6:00pm ET at Time Warner Cable Arena, a source said. It is expected that Bobcats Owner Michael Jordan will announce that the team will change its name to the Hornets, likely for the '14-15 season. Bobcats officials declined to comment. The Bobcats have been studying for months whether to adopt Charlotte’s original NBA franchise name, which became available after Saints Owner Tom Benson bought the then-New Orleans Hornets in '12 and this year changed its name to the Pelicans. The Hornets played in Charlotte from '88-'02 before relocating to New Orleans.
