New Pup

Going Saturday to pick up a new pup. She's 6 months old and already house trained etc. wanting some ideas on a name. She's a pit bull. Names I like are Libby, Rouge, Frost, Storm, Bell, and Maurice. Anyone have suggestions?

There's an idea out there that says dog names should be 2 syllables because the dog more easily recognizes a 2-syllable name over, "Joe," for example. Not sure how true it is... our lab, who passed a few years back was named Frankie, Gabbie passed last week (another thread) and our youngest is named Chief.

Bella

I have a pit (after abandoned by neighbors). She is so sweet! Hope you are looking for same. Pits are wonderful dogs if treated right. My pit is named Susie.

She is rediculously sweet and absolutely gorgeous. I'm very excited to be getting her. The first dog I ever had when I moved out on my own was a pit bull. He was so handsome. Then me and the wife, right after my second son was born, fostered a merle female that had ice blue eyes. She was amazing with the kids and had a head like a basketball.

My wife likes sookie, from the character on true blood. I really have no say in the matter so its looking like that may be it.

Sookie sounds like great name. Love how much you love her and your great experience with Pits.

The wife went with Gemma (clays wife from soa). She's home now, sleeping at my feet. A couple pics.

She's been such a sweetie pie since bringing her home yesterday. I'm sure she's stressed about the change but she's handling it well. Slept last night on a comforter beside our bed. Didn't hear a peep from her all night.

Cute dog...

My buddy Poncho that we got from the pound last fall is at the vet getting treated for heartworms today... poor little guy. Apparently they don't check for that at the pound... wish they'd told us at the time... :(

The vet says he should be OK they think...
