I refuse to continue on this subject until somebody addresses the fact that Steve Smith is the only WR worth anything under contract past this season. Everytime I bring this up its ignored. So who wants to tell me what they think the Great Gettleman has planned.

What's the basis of your argument then? The DT talent grossly outweighed the WR talent at the time of our picks! Taking a JAG just to say you drafted at that position is not smart and was what we had been doing between 2008-2010

Landing Star gave Gettleman flexibility to do something different with the next pick like trade back into the first round to get Hopkins.

I believe that Gettleman had every intention on drafting the best available DT at 44 and once he drafted Star he stuck with the same game plan instead of changing it up.

OMG we need a DE to replace pep......enters spin top Brown!

OMG we need a QB........enters Pickles

OMG we need a WR.......enter an App State QB

Don't act like we are the only team to draft a bad qb there aren't many good ones in the league for a reason. and to be fair Lafell was taking about the "App State QB"

You ask what Gettleman has planned?  We have no way of knowing, but it sure looks like the NY Giants are gonna have to dump $8-10M into Victor Cruz.  I don't see how they can possibly do that and still resign Hakeem Nicks.  If they choose Cruz > Nicks, I think Gettleman goes and gets Hakeem Nicks in free agency.

LOL yeah we should have traded back into the first round to get Hopkins.

Is this guy related to you or what? You really need to take a break for awhile.

I just listed a scenario. There is not one Panther fan out there who didn't have a moment of shock when we drafted Short.
