Gettlemen continues to get criticism for not bringing in a WR

You do realize that Robert Woods was gone by the time we picked in the 2nd round, right?

Or did you mean that you wanted to pick him in the 1st round over Lotulelei?

Or did you want to sacrifice more of the very few picks we had to move up and get him?

No I didn't. Thanks.  Still, though, my overall contention is the same: it is presumptuous to think that none of the rookie WRs won't have the impact of LaFell, Ginn or Hixon.  We're not talking about the creme of the crop here.

Coaches can only do so much. Players benefit from learning from players. Why do you think a good backup qb is so valuable to a young QB. Besides you just proved my point. He learned form Ricky Proehl when both were PLAYING.

I didn't know Smith was retiring at the end of this year.  Maybe you know something the rest of us don't.

If Ron is fired....I say the odds are decent. Higher odds he simply wants out

Then it is a good thing that we will have a winning season, Rivera will be staying, Williams will be effective and Smith will stay for another year.

What will people bitch about if that happens??

Careful P55, looks like people have already broken out the torches and pitchforks.

Well great, now you jinxed it. Adam Schein is already working on a contract extension thanks to you.

I think Ron may need a postseason season to be retained...considering how few of them we have had that isn't much of a sure thing.

If we can give Ron a little more secondary help and a G....I think it is doable though

Postseason is hard to predict. A few years ago Seattle was in at 7-9. Last year Chicago missed it at 10-6. I would hate to have to start over after a 10-6 record just because we play in such a tough division.

As for players lets see what happens in camp.

Smith has already said that he wants to play a few more years and that he has zero desire to go anywhere else.

Keep making dumb poo up....it seems to have worked for you so far in life.

Making up dumb poo? You just ignore things that happen right in front of you.

What happened last time the aging WR was confronted with a new HC/rebuild? Was there not a big fuss about him contemplating wanting out? Ron even addressed that Smith being apart of his team was up in the air

So if he is smacked in the face with that again after this year....you somehow don't think that won't happen again?

the thing right in front of me is Smith's own statements.  You are the one that is just plain making poo up that supports your "opinion".

Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration – that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather.

Does this have anything to do with that half of two week old bologna sandwhich I ate yesterday? Can other people hear you or just me?

edit: for a moment there I felt a little like we we're in "They Live" and you we're trying to give me shades to put on.

Yet you ignore his actions...actions always speak louder than words.

So again, how is it making up poo talking what Smith did the last time X occured....and saying odds are high the same thing happens again with a fired HC?

and no, Smith was not addressing what his intentions would be with another sudden change of direction with this franchise.

I got no plans to leave my job anytime soon....if all my management leaves and an all new one is coming in....my stance can easily change. That is just life...and Smith already showed he isn't a fan of that stuff going down

Is it possible that Smith would retire if we switched coaches....sure.

Has he said anything or done anything to indicate that he feels this way.....no.

Did he publically state that he intended to play several more seasons and had ZERO interest in going anywhere else....yes

Did he say that is was very important to his family to stay in Charlotte....yes.

So, please enlighten us with all of the "evidence" or "actions/comments" that would indicate he would leave.  Again, you spout off nothing more than your opinion....and try to pass it off as fact.
