Gettlemen continues to get criticism for not bringing in a WR

Between drafting Klein, bringing in Blackburn, losing his starting position at MLB, his injury plagued past two seasons, and what he would make in free agency from another team if we cut him.... id say Carolina has a poo load of leverage. Not to mention that Beason wants to stay and everyone knows it.

At this point I am just hoping Beason can compete at a high level considering his injuries.

was a valid option in the draft....

unless you are of the mindset stud WRs only look like Megatron and are viewed in his light upon entering the NFL.....which is a very few number of the actual stud WRs that play the game.

who would you have drafted with our second rounder?

Mike Wallace's cap hit is 3 mill this year in Miami. Now I am not saying I agree with how they structured it.....but teams can find a way.

If they went after a WR....obviously we would have had to of done other things differently. Like take care of Williams early than today and probably gone ahead and forced some other issues then...

But to say we couldn't of done it....is ony accurate if we did nothing else different

$3M this year and $15M in a few years....just when we need to sign Cam.

yeah.....that is a smart decision.

We werent even utilizing some of Cams best weapons, ones that help him the most..

Our RBs.

Give Stew and Will that damn ball but not outa shotgun where they get smacked the momemt theu touch the ball

yep....CRA thinks we are going to run Cam or throw the ball 90% of the time this upcoming season.

Will be epic watching his head explode when we actually become a well balanced offense.

What free agent WR's have been available that would have a chance to start over Smith or Lafell?

A second round rookie would not start over either.

Ginn was brought in to compete for that 3rd WR spot in 3 wide sets.

I am not sure Dukes or Davis have a clue on what they are talking about.

Because thats what leaders do. Wasn't I the first one that said Williams was going to restructure back when the contract was originally inked? I explained why and now here I am again. Williams contract was set as a benchmark for the league, Beason's was as well. The potential to reach the benchmark has changed so he has to restructure. . . when they ask him to. It may not be until next year.

nah, this is a business...and one where guys have a tiny window to succeed finacially.

Williams resturtured b/c it was in his best interest to do so.  That is the way it works.

Next year, they will have leverage to talk to Beason.  This year, Beason is in control.

i really cannot see how anybody can be content with the WRs on this team. to many occasions last year Cam went thru reads and no WR was open. we are putting a lot of faith in a guy who has been meh when not injuried, and the Tyler Brayton of WRs.

since we talking about the future, do yall realize next year 5 WRs on the current roster will be a FA? and the #1 WR will be going on 35, is losing speed, and at times would rather fight DBs then run routes and catch the ball? nobody thinks the depth is fine, but some fans, we will see in sept.
