Rhodes is younger and cheaper than Woodson. Simply put: Rhodes is the better value. I think that we have enough strong personalities in the locker room to make Rhodes' sexual preferences a background issue, if an issue at all. Woodson's old and I dont say that often as many times as I have had discussions around here about the subject. I think the team that signs him is making a statement "we need a cb badly". The teams in their division will notice the desperation and plan accordingly as well.

I think the teams in our division know our secondary sucks. Signing Woodson isn't going to make a lightbulb turn on.

We already have media headaches with Cam. If Charlotte and the Panthers ever want to put on their big boy pants and play with true stardom, then stuff like this, or signing a troublemaker neet to be non-issues.

 

This, seriously. People not wanting to sign someone over potential media attention is almost as bad as the people who constantly want us to trade down every draft pick. Shying away from any sort of risk at all at some point is just looking for ways to not succeed.
