Completely agree, barring him ending up with there other old receiver Jimmy Smith in prison I do not see them getting rid of him, it's not like he was a 7th rounder or something.

First of all, would we even have the money?  Unless he has completely voided his contract, we would be taking on an 11 million guarantee.  Anyway, I don't think he goes anywhere because I don't think he has a substance abuse problem.  The little information given doesn't suggest alcoholism.

Well I live in florida.  I doubt anyone knows blackmon is on the jags.  I forgot they drafted him until this thread.

No Im in central florida.  Years ago there was a broad support for the jags, but its pretty much gone.  CBS doesn't even show them anymore, opting for a non regional.

Have you noticed how ALL the Florida teams have trouble selling out their stadiums? My theory is since the majority of people move to Florida instead of being born here, they bring their allegiance to other teams with them. I am one of those people.

That's def likely.  Im a carolina guy too (obviously).   But the dolphins did use to dominate (from a fan perspective) in my area.  The temporary surge of the jags in the late 90s seemed to halt that, and ricky williams on and off obsession with weed lol.  Now florida has three teams that for years have largely done nothing.  Kind of haunts the fan base.

Probably explains why everyone's so jacked up for the Heat. The lack of NFL success opened the door for them with the fans.

Back on topic, if we can trade for Blackmon, I'd send the Jags 2 cases of beer if they asked for 1 case. Blackmon would drink 1 of them before it got to their office. Then after he gets here, Smitty can crack him over the head with a beer bottle in the film room if he screws up again.
