Panthers won't cut Armanti Edwards anytime soon

The thing about Armanti in the NFL that i've noticed, he plays scared. I watched him for 4 years in college, no way he would get tackled by a punter. Dude is shifty as hell, I don't know what happened to him. The motherfuger use to pull Cam Newton superman dives into the endzone. I honestly think he is scared of fuging up. But who knows.

He's been rotting away on the bench for too long.

John Fox also made no confusion about him absolutely not liking the pick or giving him playing time.

I agree. Nice guys usually get left out in the end. it is just that naturally. he has great character and I know how "Panther People" feel about clean noses. But the reality is attitude is very necessary. that defines SWAG, not being willing to slice and serve the pie to everyone before yourself. I think he needs to go somewhere and regain his comfort in playing. You can't be stiff. Lord only know what his TD celebration "would be".........

They'll keep like 5-6 of these guys:

Smith, LaFell, Hixon, Ginn....

This.  Smith, LaFell, Hixon, and Ginn are virtual locks IMO.  I think we'll carry 6 WRs and the last two spots will come down to Gettis, Pilares, Armanti, and Bryant barring any further signings or major surprises.  If I had to guess, I'd say the spots go to Gettis (if finally healthy) and Pilares with the staff trying to stash Bryant on the PS for one more season.

strangely even know, I feel better about him at #3 QB than #3-5 WR. He's a good dude but our staff screwed him big time and hurt his career. I guess Jimmy will use that as a excuse. I just think he sucks all together and naturally scared. AE>JC

Armanti is the ultimate example of an over draft victim here. This organization gave up way too much for him and he has faced unrelenting criticism and unrealistic expectations. If we had drafted the kid where he should have been drafted 6th, 7th or UDFA no one would have a bad word to say other than "damn, I wish Armanti would have panned out." That would have been the end of it, but noooooooo, Marty had to trade 7,000 picks and use a 3rd rounder to get him. Not Armanti's fault, but that's the life of a pro football player. I hate it happened to him but this is after all, a business, of which he has none being here after camp.

True, but he was taken in a late round he probably would have ready been cut. Only reason he has hung around is be side Hurney invested s lot in him.

100% agree.  I'm not trying to say keep him.  I'm not even saying that he has deserved his time here.  Both of our points cut to the fact that his purchase price was too high to just cut bait and split.

those crumbs seem a bit depressing. I really want Gettis to show up but  man like the Fox/AE situation, we may have the same with RR/Gettis. The rest of those guys are not impact players so realistically those signings are whack. of the tree, Bryant has the most potential but will he get the opportunities that others had?
