Shower not producing water

need more info.

did it ever work?

when did it stop?

how old is the plumbing?

can you open up the diverter and check water presence at both lines?

if yes:

seems like the diverter is not routing the water at all.

1. cut the main water off,

2. replace the diverter,

3. give pie.

Ok now someone get the small metal screw out of my food disposal... :(

Buy a wood dowel abot as big around as a pencil.....glue a magnet on the end of it....put magnet end into the disposal opening....you should be able to pick up the screw.

I actually have a magnet tool for that, but someone (me) was a fugtard and flipped the switch, so it's actually stuck in another level of the disposal now...

If that doesn't work, remove disposal, hold upside down and use it like your shake weight.

That's where I am headed next. I've gotta take that motherfuger apart :(

1. something tells me its been there a fairly long time

2. the disposal makes a horrible sound now and you stopped using it

3. too afraid (or "too nasty") to shove hand in the stink hole so you're just avoiding the problem

if getting fingers cut off by the disposal is the concern:

1. turn of the circuit breaker for the kitchen or outlet connected to disposal

2. toggle disposal switch to make sure it is not powered anymore

3. shove hand in disposal

4. ignore the mess

5. move the mess around

6. locate small screw

7. remove small screw

8. reset circuit breaker

9. wash hand

10. give pie.

that would be a disaster for me.  I have the mechanical aptitude of a 7 yo girl.

I can change light bulbs around the house....that is the extent of it.

You must have little girl hands if you can fit yours into the opening of the disposal.

SIR YOU HAVE INSULTED ME!

This happened Sunday. I just had a major brain fart and thought it would just fall through.

Kurb grew up in rural Sampson Co, drains are not even the start of "messy" to me.

You must have little girl hands if you can fit yours into the opening of the disposal.

I flexed my fist and stretched the drain ^_^

i wouldnt go that far.

there is no other level of disposal.

on the bottom of it, theres just a rotating plate with metal flaps. the flaps are not sharp.

if you can hear the the screw in there when you turn it on, its still on the plate. gonna have to shove hand in there and find it under the flaps.

had to do that once.

happens a lot with change and bear caps

EDIT

I was being secretly sarcastic in the previous post :)

no insult intended

The screw is under that plate now. (dont ask how...sigh)

Thus I have to detach it from the sink and pry it loose.
